Hidden Tavern — Restaurant in San Antonio

I've been here a few times for the early Sunday karaoke show and have had a blast, but unfortunately I will never be back here after something that transpired recently. It's such a shame too because the early Sunday KJ and bartender Tiffany are awesome and fun, and there are not many early karaoke shows around town for us early risers.

When I got word that a sexual assault had occurred in the parking lot and the owner basically victim blamed and banned the victim instead of the perpetrator, saying the victim should have "let it go" because her police report was "bad for business", I cannot in good conscience spend another penny here. That just goes to show the low-class character of the owner. The perpetrator should have been banned and arrested, not the innocent victim.

I post this so everyone is aware of the owner's poor moral character and can make an informed decision. Again, I have nothing against the employees or even the majority of the patrons, but the owner had better straighten up and fly right. The way she handled the situation was abysmal at best. I would have hoped she'd have stuck up for the victim and promoted a safe atmosphere, but that simply didn't happen and as such I believe she should be put out of business.

Maybe I'll try again if ownership ever changes, but as long as it's owned by the current owner,...

Walked in and the bartender was drunk. Gave her the benefit of the doubt and ordered a drink and she brought me a shot. When I told her that wasn’t what I wanted she told me I was rude and she wasn’t going to serve me anymore...? I tried to apologize for whatever it was that I did to offend her but since she was intoxicated she wouldn’t take me apology and continued to ignore me then told me I was cut off even though I had just got there! Haha I still proceeded to tip her well so that she could see I meant no harm but she still ignored me and gave me attitude and told me she was done with me. She even told the other bartender not to serve me... anyways for my first time there I was hoping for a good time since my friend recommended the bar but instead it felt real trashy based on the people behind the bar... 😔 I was having a bad day and was trying to relax and have a drink and unfortunately this place made it worse... cherry on top...

This place is a keeper y’all! They have been around for 15 years now and 15 years in my book = perfection. Why have I never heard of this place before???

We went on a Saturday night (I think, lol) and it just happened to be their 15th anniversary party.

Beer and drinks were cheap, and I heard a rumor that the drinks were pretty stiff.

They had Karaoke (of which I did not partake) and a side area with 3 or 4 pool tables.

There were 8-10 of us (I might have been seeing double, so don’t quote me on that) and we were able to all sit together.

It did get busier as the night wore on, but it was not crowded at all. It’s a dive bar and I respect it for that, the only thing keeping them from five stars as a dive bar is that they only had two bartenders and only one bar back that occasionally showed up.
