Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in San Antonio

This review isn't for the food. The food is outstanding and delicious. This is for one staff member in particular. I wish they wore name tags. He seemed to be a manager as he was the oldest. A white gentleman with very low cut short hair. He was working today (May 10, 2022 at around 6 pm) so I hope the owner sees this and takes corrective action

The way he talked to his other staff members was completely disrespectful and not needed. It seemed like one member was newer as she was asking a few questions here and There about how to do things. He was entirely too rude to her and almost belittling. It's one thing to do it in general, but another to do it in front of customers in the store (about 5 of us). There was also another gentleman staff member who seemed pretty young and he talked to him the same exact way.

A customer asked for 2 sandwiches and they made 2 correct and randomly made a 3rd. When the customer tried to tell this manager that he didn't order it, the manager threw his hand up and told him to calm down they'd fix it. Unprofessional.

I went to pay and unfortunately I didn't see the sign on the pin pad about not tapping, as I'm so used to doing it so that is in fact my mistake and my apologies for not seeing it, but to talk down to me about how if your system does down it will be down for 10 minutes and pretty much scold me, is crossing the line. I'm not sure what this gentleman's problem is but he clearly created a hostile work environment for his team mates and I hope they up channel to the proper department. They deserve better than that type of treatment and so...

Me and my family usually frequent Jersey Mike's as one of the sub shops in San Antonio, however the past couple times we have ordered carry out I have ordered the Mike's Famous Philly, specifically without peppers as that makes my mother horrendously sick. I had confirmed that through the online portal as I ordered as a guest without an account as I forgot my password and didn't want to waste time with recovering or resetting passwords. I picked it up and went home without, and halfway through my mom eating her sandwich she was getting horrendously sick again. We attempted to call this location around 8:50 PM after my mother was feeling better, but the phone kept ringing without being answered as it shown that the store was open until 9:00. A woman eventually picked up and told us that they do not accept calls after 8pm and hung up. We attempted to call again and got the same woman and tried to at least have her listen to us, and for a moment she did. We then tried to explain our situation, but soon found that there was no one on the other end listening to us as we realized the store employee either hung up on us or left the phone mid conversation. We usually like Jersey Mike's because of their business practices and pretty good sandwiches, but after ignoring the special requests and an honestly abysmal customer service, as I doubt that all calls are ignored a full hour before the location closes, but this location definitely besmirches the good reputation of...

I have been to A LOT of Jersey Mikes, it is one of my favorite places to go and this one is the best location I have ever gone too! Every time I have gone in the staff is welcoming and friendly. They make sure to fill your sandwiches so you get what you paid for! They do not skimp! I went there today and the owner was there and offered my daughter a cookie. I thought he was a worker!! I have worked in A LOT of restaurants and food chain places and I have never seen the owner of a chain food place or restaurant get in uniform and working along side the people they employ. He also gave my daughter a frisbee and offered to help carry the stuff out because my hands were a little full with a 2 year old and a big order....
