We really wanted to love Kimura, but every turn was a consistent let down. First, we were seated and informed off the bat that the pork belly was not available as it was 'not done cooking yet' - and this was Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 pm... so either they didn't start cooking until it was too late for the lunch rush or they just don't know how to prep properly. So we look through the menu and decide on the Tonkatsu ramen with the chashu instead of the pork belly (disappointing, we came specifically for the pork belly, but we were hungry). Our server came back and my husband started by saying his ramen order, and that we would also like an order of gyoza and the side dish sampler to start. Our server interrupts him saying he should go ring in the starters because they've been taking a while to come out... so he disappears... and five minutes later finally comes back and took our orders of the ramen - 2 orders of the Tonkatsu ramen with the chashu instead of pork belly (because it was unavailable), and my husband added on the ground pork to his dish. Not sure what wait on the appetizers he was talking about, they came out within minutes of us ordering our meals. The gyoza were average, I've made better at home, and the sampler platter was mediocre except the seaweed salad which was admittedly good. Our ramen came out and while I liked the chashu (the two small pieces that came with it) the broth was very underwhelming and the noodles were way too starchy and lacked the bounce I expect from good ramen noodles. When we finally got the attention of our server (by this point it wasn't busy in the restaurant anymore) and got the bill we just put the card down to have it charged and that took quite a while for them to manually enter my card number in the system because it wouldn't swipe. We finally got out of there and only later realized that instead of charging us for the chashu version of the ramen (which should have been $13 according to their website) they charged us $11 and then added on the chashu for another $5. Let me reiterate that THEY were the ones who didn't have pork belly available, yet I end up paying extra for a lesser meat? The food was okay but underwhelming, and for what we paid for it, we will probably not be back.

Okay let's start from the beginning, Me and My husband are huge ramen/Sushi lovers. We saw this place and saw the ratings and I, who looks at reviews and photos. yes, it matters.

We arrived and parking was very small and a struggle, but workable? We saw their product truck? Now you would think they are to be stored properly in an insulated truck that way they aren't exposed to certain temperatures, but it was a normal truck and they had many products on the bed that I can't say exactly what BUT what was concerning to us is eggs. Who knows what else could've been exposed on that truck or how long they've been on the road.

Service: They all greeted sweetly and we loved the inside but the girl taking our order was very low and I felt bad I had to make her repeat herself a few times, once we got the order in we were handed but never were told if we were to be seated or seat ourselves. We had to ask. Keep in mind we weren't given utensils. Waiting about 15-20mins until we got our food, we still had no utensils nor told that we get it ourselves, which we wouldn't have minded. We just weren't told anything. Again I had to ask. They brought it to us. So it's very unclear what you have to do for yourself if you have to, again we wouldn't mind. We weren't checked on, don't know if they just don't or what.

Okay now the food: Presentation was there! It made it look good! We ordered Onigiri, Oyako Don (rice bowl), TanTanMen (Ramen). The Onigiri was a 5/10 only because it wasn't full, more rice than the filling. My husband did find a huge bone in it and that was a turn off. He thought it was salty due to the season they put on top but I loved it. The TanTanMen was a 4/10 the broth was a bit greasy, the meat was superrr salty I couldn't eat it and I love salty things. The veggies in it were HUGE and the mushrooms tasted very old, burnt, and salty. The noodles were the only thing good overall. Rice bowl-rice was soggy, egg had to much salt and too much scallops. Chicken was good but over all, over seasoned/ was too salty. With all being said, we didn't finish our food and left hungry :(( We're no food critic but we love food! I hope this place improves or takes in the criticism...

My husband and I love eating here. Its one of our favorite spots. We wanted to see, and try the new location which is much more room, not so loud, and smokey, however our experience was odd. I'm not one to complain but this visit really bothers me. Ordering our food was pleasant but to my husband's reaction he was shocked at what our bill was. He thought they might have double charged or something, i don't know, or the prices went up really high. When we were given glasses of water, the cashier put ice in it and the water that was in it was from where she scooped ice from. No water was ever poured in our glasses. I have never been served water that way. We didn't even bother to drink it. Water should be poured, not expect the customer to drink the melted ice from where the ice is stored. Much worse it was only less than half filled with the melted ice water. We ordered gyoza for one of our appetizers and they were brought to us upside down and charred. Food presentation should be important šŸ˜• although everything else came to us normally. We were also charged 4 dollars for a can of soda so we paid 8 dollars for 2 cans. We didn't know how much the soda was until my husband went to go buy me another one. So I looked on the website and prices are very different on the website than what we paid. Not sure what happened this day but very disappointing. Please don't serve water that way to your customers. No one wants to drink melted ice. Also the servers are very nice but only come to bring your food, and never come back. We waited almost 20 minutes just for a to go box. I love the food here but the experience made me lose my appetite and I couldn't even enjoy or finish my meal. Everyone is super nice but the service this day was so odd. Hopefully they don't treat others this way. Sorry for my honest opinion. I debated on making this review and my husband told me not to but I felt I had to. We've never been treated in this...
