Lick Honest Ice Creams — Restaurant in San Antonio

For a long time, we've only been to the Pearl location and then noticed the one by the Hemisphere. Glad to see this location at The Rim.

I went for the Seasonal flavors and had the small with Lemon Lavender and the Blackberry, Lime & Basil. My husband chose the Blueberry Crumble which we've gotten a pint before and Fresh Mint & Chocolate Chunk. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 stars is that the person who scooped my ice cream wasn't as generous as the one who scooped my husband's ice cream. I guess I didn't need the extra calories but then again, my husband is also diabetic and didn't need the extra.

Other than that, it's what good ice cream I've come to expect with Lick. Having had a Yelp Elite Bingo event last year with the owners was fun...

I think this place was great. Not sure why people are complaining about price. I assume they may not know about Lick to begin with. They make their own ice cream with real ingredients, nothing artificial including dyes or flavors (I was told) and also source locally and partner with other local businesses. It’s not cheap ice cream, it’s good ice cream. The guy that helped was super nice. That’s cool. The ice cream was great. Nothing like I’ve gotten before at a random ice cream shop. It was refreshing. I've been waiting 2 years to try this place! I read reviews and just couldn't get to licks while on work trips.

But this last trip was my opportunity!

Did not disappoint! The flavors are not for everyone (aka very niche) but for me the were a yasss.

Don't forget to try some incase you aren't sure!

Employees were super friendly and patient.

There is lots of space for kids to run their sugar high off or just sit and enjoy a cooler evening.

Did I mention they have vegan?
