Long John Silver's | A&W — Restaurant in San Antonio

Okay first of all this place in particular is on the way to my bus stop from where I work 5 days a week. I've been in there a couple times but I've only eaten there once. The service is kind of slow. If you've got a bus to make in 15 or 20 minutes don't even go here. You want to probably have about an hour. The prices are ginormous. I mean if you want to eat kind of decent big you're going to need 12 for $13. Maybe even 14 or 15. When I give the one my order she seem to be focused but when I got my order it was missing shrimp 5 pieces of them. I want to ask the manager lady or who I thought was the manager she told me that she thought I ordered the sampler platter and I said well doesn't it come with shrimp also? Anyway they made it right there by the time I did get my shrimp I was done with my whole meal I couldn't eat it with everything else. So I'm just sitting here with all the shrimp sauce around me no food just kind of sitting and waiting already took longer than I wanted it to take anyway. Anyway I stop through on my way to the bus the other day too and I was on a phone call but when I finish the phone call I looked around there wasn't any people in there I looked at my watch and I had about all I don't know 20 minutes before I had to get on the bus. Now being a big guy and all and having a little bit of money that I can spend for food, I sat there and wait out my experience from before and decided that I better not try to get anything to eat there because I'm going to miss the bus. And at this time of day, if I miss the bus going to be another hour before it comes back again. So from now on I'll probably just be better off not going in there unless I win the lottery...

Ordered the 3 pc chicken 2 pc fish w fries for both my sides. Easy order. Got to window and asked cashier to please make order fresh, I’ll pull over and wait need be because my last visit everything tasted like it had just been refried to warm it up, fish and chicken were dry and greasy fries were burnt. She then told me “that wasn’t my fault they did that.” ??? I didn’t say it was but she then reassured me it was all just dropped when I ordered it. I eventually get my order and drove home. Fish and chicken were good this time but instead of LJS battered fries I had got about 6 old cold A&W waffle fries? If they were out of fries I wish they would have told me so I could get 2 other sides. I have a feeling they didn’t have any fresh fries up so they just put 1 small scoop of waffle fries in there. Normally back when a meal was 5or6 bucks, this wouldn’t be a big deal but when you’re paying 15+ dollars for one meal with smaller portions I expect it to be correct and fresh regardless if the store is having a small rush. Went a first time and they made my order extra sad. Got the super sampler and they gave me like a pinch of fries and two popcorn shrimps and forgot my clams. Looked like they were running out of food and it was only like 7pm. I was contacted by the manager Mary Jane who was super nice and she told me to come back and they’d make it right! Well I went back today and they made it better but they smashed my corn cup (I feel like it was in retaliation to my complaint 😂😂😂) and the evening drive thru lady in charge had an attitude about me not announcing to her that it was a replacement order and she had rung it up already. I don’t know how much work it takes to cancel an order but I imagine the employees get beat by their bosses every time because apparently it was a big deal to that woman and she had to let me know!

Anyway I definitely won’t be back if I do it won’t be on the evening shift. Oh and they are super tight with their sauces they will only give you like two ketchups and one shrimp sauce for 20 dollars worth of food.
