As a traveling rock star, I'm always looking for local bars that can cater to my eclectic wants and desires, should.I decide to leave my destroyed hotel room. sometimes just to watch sports or news,..with a Michelada..., they even let me have the remote... To be completely in control...
Or sometimes I play a little trivia, or the digital games,.with a nice wine Spritzer... or other times,I want to punch up some tunes on the jukebox, and think about all the love I've lost, with a bottle of Jack, and a completely dark room, and a bare light bulb hanging down over my table.. as I throw the empty glass at the wall....( One per love lost)....and play "Sister Christian" over & over on the juke box.
And, usually after happy hour.. I like to have a plethora of women screaming at me, asking for autographs, begging me to take them home... at Mitchell's I can do all these things and more, even if it's a Monday night.. you just ask it, and it's yours... Prices range from Free to several thousand dollars per drink...but worth every penny.. the nachos are delicious, but slightly on the ugly side... ( I mean.. would a little radish rose for garnish kill you?!).. and the restrooms are nice and clean.. providing the finest in soap, towels and soft TP.. ( not that European sandpaper kind).. All in all.. it's a nice joint.. and the Crown and cokes are just like Mom used...
Read moreDo not come here!!! My friend came her Saturday on Thanksgiving weekday with friends because he was moving for a new job and was celebrating. He was talking with the bartender most of the night. Long story short when everyone was calling it a night he told us he was leaving too but the sexy bartender told him to stay and have more drinks that they would be "on the house." He was already drunk mind you and she continued to serve him instead of cutting him off!! When he did decide to go home he said he went outside and some black man with no shirt on robbed him at gun point for 210$, took his jacket with his keys in the pocket, smashed his phone and pistol whooped him!! Then the bar wouldn't let him in to call the police he had to use is smart watch to call them. When they did show up they arrested him because he couldn't even respond to them because he was so drunk and blacking out! Luckily charges were not charged they just kept him in a holding tank till he sobered up. But I feel the bartender was at some fault for not cutting him off I also feel she was part of the robbery she saw his wallet and knew he had a lil chunk of cash in there. When he went back to see what happened and pick up his truck because he had a spare the owner said he had to leave and not to come back that be was banned from being there. Drink at a safer part of town people NOT...
Read moreI've been going to this bar since it opened. Been a loyal customer ever since. Till the night of Game 7, Spurs vs. Clippers. I got there early to get a spot at the bar, and was going to have water till the game started. Which is what I told the bartender that was there, who was not Tim, also who I've known since it opened. The bartender then proceeded to tell me he would kick me out of my seat if someone else came in and ordered a beer. Cause, as he put it, while pointing to the seats, 'these, make money'. He was such an a**. I've never been treated like that at that bar in the 15+ years I've been going to there. I hope the owners read this review and understand that I'm very disappointed in that guy's service. I may have to start looking for somewhere else to spend my money for the...
