I always order from Nothing Bundt Cakes for most occasions...including for my coworkers most to show my appreciation for their hard work. For my past three orders I have used the Alamo Heights (Broadway) location and EACH time there has seemed to be an issue. When I am unable to order online, due to an âerrorâ on their page...ex: wont allow me to select a time, wonât display a cake flavor, etc., I call to place the order over the phone AND EACH of those times it seems like itâs an inconvenience for them to take over the phone order. This last time I called, again not able to place an online order, I was told that they are NOT taking any over the phone/online orders and that I had to go in to place the order. When I sent someone to go make a purchase, which was a 35 min drive, he was told that they donât take walk in orders. I asked him to let the front counter person know what I was told and if he could speak to a manager. The stores associate went to the back to get the manager BUT only came out with the Assistant managers card and told him we had to call. When I called, the lady who answered, said: Nothing Bundt cakes (along with location) we are all sold out and then stayed quiet. I asked for the manager, she puts me on hold, then comes back and tells me that the manager is busy. I then asked her so when is it a good time to speak to their manager bc it seems like she refuses to speak to someone in person and now on the phone. Her response is we have over 400 orders and she canât come to the phone. I asked for the manager and NOT the assistant manager who passed her card to give to us and she replied, she is the manager now...she got a promotion. If their assistant manager/manager, whoâs name is Britney, wonât give the time to speak to a customer then a customer who is a regular to Nothing Bundt cakes should NOT give her time to that business! I have been to other locations and they have never been so rude. Perhaps the broadway location should take a class on...
Read moreMy family and I buy from this location quite often we enjoy the Bundt cakes but the customer service at this location honestly isnât worth one star if I could give none I would. The employees at this location never make myself nor my husband feel welcomed when we go to the Bandera location. Yesterdayâs visit to the store was the final time that we will purchase from this location. We werenât greeted once we walked in by either employee nor were we asked if we needed help we were the only ones in there when we entered so itâs not like they were busy. An older lady was sweeping by the front door and another younger employee was standing behind the register. Not to long after we entered 3 other customers entered and both employees greeted them and asked if they needed any help and if they had any questions feel free to ask. The employees was super friendly and welcoming which was totally opposite from the way my husband and I experiences when we walk into this establishment. Once my husband and I decided on the flavors that we wanted we had to ask for help the entire experience was definitely awkward, uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The transaction was totally silent other than when she gave us our total my husband handed her his military ID and our punch card even though she never asked if we had either one of those but since we buy from them so often we knew to give both of those items along with our form of payment she punched our new card b/c with this purchase we completed the old one she gave us our 7 bundtlets in a bag and gave him his military card back along with our form of payment our new punch card and didnât say anything to us. We did notice as other customers completed their transaction they were thanked and told to have a nice day but not us. Nothing was said to us needless to say we are disappointed with our experiences with this location and I hate to say it but we definitely have a feeling why we are treated this way...
Read moreStarting off- the cake was delicious. And the operator did apologize for the experience mention below.
I highly recommend that you order cakes from here in- person rather than call in if you want something. This is my first time purchasing from here so I called in to order and pay ahead (since it is required), thinking that they will put in my credit card information (including expiration date and CVV) in the order form on a computer of some sort confidentiality right away but only to find out the lady answered the phone wrote it down and missed a number or something so they couldn't purchase my order. Two things that I am VERY disappointed- Even some high schooler can work there, it is extremely sensitive to write down someone's card information, big No-No! What if my preference cake ran out by the time I got there because you couldn't put the order through? Although thankfully that didn't happen.
I've spoke with a lady that seemed like the manger when I arrived expressing my disappointments and unease of the credit card incident, she apologized and stated that the lady answered the phone was in training and didn't know not to write down customers' credit card info and they've shredded the info. I accept her apology but unfortunately I don't trust humanity enough to let this slip, how can I trust someone who doesn't know the basics to not write down someone's credit card that they will "know" to not give that info away or even use it themselves? It may be extreme to say this but it's not my job that they weren't trained properly, you simply don't put an intern doctor on a surgery table on their own.
Off to ordering a new credit card and reset all my automatic payments due to this cake, this was a salty experience for me- my mistake for being trusting enough to give information away in the first place, we all learned...
