Let me preface with we frequent this establishment and location often but usually during lunch hours when it is at the peak of busiest hours. We always sit at the bar to save time and each time Angel has been our server/bartender. He has always been amazing! Lunchtime is usually busy but he always ensures he greets you with a smile and friendly, helpful attitude. Fast forward to our current situation, it is a Thursday evening, the bar is not as busy as the usual lunchtime crowd, matter of fact there are open seats. Each time we have asked for something and said “thank you,” there has been no mannered response; not a nod, a wink, or thumbs up. At first I felt myself becoming angry because let’s face it, this is a restaurant, and we are paying for a service. We have observed two different managers at 2 different times come behind the bar, no greeting, and no help to the bartender as she expresses in front of one of them that she is “drowning”…her words and my boyfriend states “wow, you need some help…as there are dirty dishes piled up—as pictured. At this point, I can not blame her for her frustration, although I do believe “the customer always comes first.” It is hard to be your best self when you don’t have the much needed support. I’m hoping management reads this review and reflects upon management style and possible customer service trainings to incorporate into their daily operations as this is honestly is a horrible representation of Olive Garden.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile from 3:00 employees standing at the welcome desk. It may have been because of the time that we visited this particular location, but we were seated rather quickly even though there was many graduation parties on site. Are awesome and incredible waitress Zoey was so helpful in helping us choose and realize they were more options than what we're actually on the menu. Of course Olive garden is known for their salads and bread and dipping sauce, I'm glad to say that this particular location which is close to our home has had one of the best welcome, service, and exiting strategies that will help people show up, eat and leave and come. Another shout out to an employee who was walking around that just kept checking on all the tables was Missy! Thanks to you also! I have the blessed opportunity to speak to one of the young ladies from Houston who has had the honor to come down and open this particular location. The strategies, the momentum, the delivery, the attention to detail from this young lady is outstanding. Thank you for another Olive garden experience and know that my family will of course be returning soon!

Ordered Spaghetti with Marinara sauce. Not quite enough marinara sauce to finish spaghetti. Marinara sauce was really good though…the spices added were enough to make my lips tingle, in a good “lick you lips” way . . . 👍🏼 Service for the car delivery was slow at this Olive Garden; it took almost 25 minutes for a very simple meal. Walked into the to-go entrance to check on the meal and no one was manning the front desk. Waited only a couple of minutes but no one was there to even answer questions. So we continued to wait in a very hot vehicle with outside temperatures of 102 degrees. Perhaps it would be better to not get food to-go at Olive Garden if you have to wait for it in San Antonio’s excessive heat. So many photos of Olive Garden are already online, but there was a very large Oak tree in front of the restaurant’s building that was of interest. There was a cactus growing amongst the tree limbs.

My recent visit to Olive Garden was transformed from a simple meal into an unforgettable dining experience, thanks to the unparalleled service provided by our waitress, Maddie. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with a warmth and professionalism that set the tone for the evening.

Maddie’s attentiveness was unmatched. She seamlessly anticipated our needs, ensuring our drinks were always refreshed and our table meticulously maintained throughout our meal. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, guiding us through an exquisite selection of dishes with enthusiasm and expertise.

The food, oh the food, was nothing short of spectacular. Each course was a testament to Olive Garden’s commitment to authentic Italian cuisine. The pasta dishes were cooked to al dente perfection, enveloped in rich, flavorful sauces that spoke of tradition and passion. The entrees were a harmonious blend of ingredients, each bite a melody of flavors that danced on the palate. And the desserts—divine creations that perfectly concluded our culinary journey.

But what truly distinguished our dining experience was Maddie’s genuine passion for her work. Her recommendations were not just suggestions but invitations to explore the depth of Olive Garden’s menu. Her timing in serving each course was impeccable, ensuring a smooth flow to our meal without ever feeling rushed.

In an era where the art of dining is often overshadowed by the rush of daily life, Maddie reminded us of the joy found in savoring a meal prepared with care and served with love. Her dedication to creating a memorable experience for every guest she encounters is a rare find in the bustling world of hospitality.

Olive Garden has always been a go-to for its delicious food and inviting atmosphere, but it is the exceptional service from individuals like Maddie that elevates it to a place of dining excellence. Her ability to blend professionalism with a personal touch is what will keep us coming back.

In conclusion, our experience at Olive Garden, guided by the exceptional service of Maddie, was a reminder of how a meal can transcend the ordinary when paired with genuine care and expertise. To Maddie, thank you for making our evening not just a dinner, but a dining experience we will cherish. Olive Garden, you have a gem in Maddie, whose dedication to her guests is a shining example of hospitality...

This store opens at 11am for lunch. We arrived at 1120 and were one of only two couples waiting to be seated (there were plenty of tables but apparently not enough staff). We requested a booth and was asked to provide a phone number at asked to sit down and wait to be called. Now, we were as I stated only one of the two couples waiting and no more than three feet from the reception area. We had asked for a booth vs a table. They called us on the phone when they were ready to seat us which was a little funny because the receptionist was right in front of us and could have provided a personal touch by actually talking to us versus a phone message. Once in the dinning area which was very spacious with very few people seated we were led to a table; remember we asked for a booth. There was a booth in the area of seating but was told that was out of the waitresses area. Ok, first if you are not staffed properly please let the customer know this otherwise it looks like you opened and were not prepared for patrons. Secondly, where is the message of trying to please the customer go? We asked for a booth but was seated at a table because the booth was out of the waitresses area. Quit working everything off of the little iPad and please use to customer service exceiton procedures to help please your customers. Unfortunately, there wasn't any flexibility with the receptionist and of course the manager; who normally comes by the tables to see if everything is going well; never showed up. I don't believe we will be patronizing this restaurant store in the future....
