We went to the location off of 410 and was served by the owner herself, Kim Dinh, Worst waitress/business owner of all time. I have never.... in my life been treated with disrespect.
She was rude from the beginning to end. We ordered 2 lunch specials, garlic shrimp and general chicken. The soup that came with the meal was not fresh and soggy. It must of been left out for a while because it was room temperature.
In addition when we got our food the garlic shrimp we got only had 3 pieces of shrimp. When I asked Kim Dinh our waitress aka the OWNER of Pho 4 Star Vietnamese.... how many shrimp came with the meal. She yelled, "I DON'T KNOW... I NOT COOK!" Yet shes the owner. So you'd think she would know right?
After I told her why are you giving me attitude for asking a question about your food she gave me a nasty look that I had to laugh because it was ridiculous. She said she would check with the cooks in the back. She moved half way through the door and it didn't even seem she asked anything as we were literally seated 3 feet from the door. She then came back and said yes only 3 shrimp because its a lunch special. Um... Ok so you give 3 small shrimp with crappy rice, soggy soup, and drenched "stir fried veggies" for 8.00, plus our drink, plus tax, plus a tip?
Oh ok... Seems about right... When I tried to contact them aka her on her facebook page she read the post but did not respond. I asked who the owner was and how to contact them. Never got a response. I further investigated and found out Kim Dinh the waitress is the OWNER. Not a good way to do business. Lose the attitude when customers ask you simple questions about your menu that you...
Read morePho is about average, but nothing as good as Pho Hong Phat’s for sure. Wife ordered the pho, I asked about the drunken noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and if they used Thai basil in their dish. They said no, and quickly ascertained that this is most likely run by Vietnamese who might not have the knowledge on the correct preparation of this dish. So I ordered the Pad Thai. I asked the waitress to make my Pad Thai, Thai hot x 2. The dish had less heat than the extra crispy chicken at KFC, no lie. No biggie, but I noticed the flavor was way different. My wife tasted it, and her keen Japanese tongue picked up on ketchup! What, so I took another bite. Sho ‘nuff that’s what they most likely used. SMH😞. If that’s not an issue for ya, knock yourself out, but I prefer a more authentic flavor. What’s hilarious is that we had two interactions with the waitress. First, the order, second the check. What’s funny is that she circled the 18% tip recommendation on the check.
We will not be going back. If y’all really want good pho, hit up Pho Hong Phat (the building looks a little rough around the edges, but their pho is the bomb, best in San A that I have found). For Thai, your gonna have to travel to Austin and hit up Dee Dee food truck 4204 Menchaca Rd, Austin TX. OMG, their Pad KaPow is absolutely one of the best Thai dishes I have ever eaten, and I have been to Thailand many times, and not the touristy places either. It is well worth the travel to...

Food is good especially the appetizers. The cheese rolls are great. I've tried about 7 items so far.
My most recent visit was probably the most disappointing, the food came out super salty, to the point my tounge and mouth were dry. I had a hard time eating my food, but it took a while for the food to come out, and I had tried to go to 3 places previous to arriving here. Many places were closed that day. So when the food finally came I just ate it.
Staff checked other tables and asked people how the food was, but no one ever came back to my table. Was disappointed, my drink was also not refilled, which I needed with the food being as salty as it was.. the highlight of my meal was the cheese rolls once again.
Some of the items recently were removed from the menu, I looked for the shaking beef but didnt see it. A friend of mine told me the restaurant had changed owners in the last year or so..
Previous Visits..
The beef pad see ewe was a bit different, it had snap peas and cucumber in it, but was still pretty good.
I tried the shaking beef a few visits back, it was pretty decent but also fell a bit short compared to other places I've had it.
Service when dining in has been good, orders have all been correct and prices here are pretty fair. Portion sizes are good.
If your looking for an Asian restaurant that has a wide variety of items that span a few ethnicities then this is...
