I would give the service zero stars if I could I hope you like being ignored if you want to eat here or brought the wrong food when you have allergies or taste other food on your food while you have allergies …. This is not the review I wanted to leave. I come here a lot. I have allergies. They’re usually pretty good. I talked to my friend from coming to the north side to coming to this location because I said it was better than the rim location last night. I was horribly wrong. After we were seated a party of three, we waited 20 minutes for somebody to come to the table, even just to get a cup of water we ordered our food in fear of them, not coming back again for a long time. I explained to them that I had allergies and ordered my food when everybody’s food came out they brought The wrong Board I explained to them that it was wrong and they argued with me so I read again what I had and asked them to be very careful. I have allergies.. Finally, after about 30 minutes, somebody finally remembered to bring our bottle so halfway through sitting there we finally got our bottle… Nobody ever refilled my husband’s water he doesn’t drink, and then finally my board came. My throat after I ate was it itchy and it was hard to swallow. I ate a piece of cheese off the cheeseboard that tasted like jalapeño, and one of my apples had a sesame seed on it so I know they did didn’t change their glove from her cheeseboard to my. Bruschetta. How frustrating we walked in there at 9:20 we did not get out until almost 11 o’clock. The girl in the red sweater told me that she was gonna get me a cork. I sat for another 20 minutes after I paid my bill and tipped her and she never brought me a cork. I had to get up and ask somebody to get me one. How horrible I will be driving to Cheese Pl. at the rim from now on I would rather pay high dollar for my wine and cheese boards then deal with this mockery I really hope they didn’t treat me that way because I’m tattooed because being a chef and a restaurant owner it’s very disappointing Attached is a photo of when we finally got our wine...
Read moreIt is hit or miss with table service. Often have to wait for a server. Food is good. Soup is never hot. We send it back to have it reheated every time. Every time! Desserts are excellent. Panini selection is good, but quality varies. For example, the Western has barely any filling, but the tuna sandwich is fine. Twice we've ordered the western and we always have to question the server about where the chicken is. This place could and should be better. It's just not quite there yet. Parking is convenient. Wine list and pricing is excellent. Patio is spacious with plenty of shade and fans. Service needs work and the kitchen lacks consistency. Otherwise good place. Update 9/21/25. Service is still off. The issue is that you do not get a dedicated server so the thought is that every server is there to assist. Great in thought, but very seldom does anyone actually stop at the table. For example, we order a bottle of wine and pitcher of beer without server, and then watched 3 servers hang out as our drinks remained @ the bar... unserved until we asked for them. The food continues to be inconsistent...sometimes good, sometimes almost there. The soup is never hot. We have ordered the French dip panini twice, and each time the authentic jus is served to the center of the table and never presented to the guest with the French dip. Tge Brussels spout salad has almost no Brussels Sprouts in it. When asked where they were, the server said they are finely shaved, however there were no shaved greens at all. Just spring mix. We ordered 3 bottles of wine from the list they gave us, but none of those wines were available . They said they had substitutions if we wanted those instead. Just really hit or miss more often a miss. If there was an interest from management or leadership this place could and should be better. Sadly, they are performing at the level they are interested...
Read morePostino is a hidden gem in town, except it's not so hidden anymore cuz the word is spreading like wildfire LOL... It's not a fancy place, and it doesnt want to be one, it's casual but a well organized machine with probably one of the best happy hour options in town.
Decor is hip, casual chic, contemporary, pop. Place is huge with lots of different seating options but it still feels intimate, cozy.
The food is perfect for what it is: italian comfort food. Heavy on sharable apps rather then main courses. Their Bruschettas are THE ABSOLUTE BEST in town, and they slice them like in Italy, so u can eat them without making a mess. Instagram-ready finger food...
Simple, sharable, and priced really well. It's a perfect match with their wine list, with lots of BTG options, some better than others, but with an unbeatable Price/Quality ratio. If you are looking for edgy, rare, or premium btg options you go to an upscale wine bar, like High Street at Pearl. But Postino offers a different experience and has great food you can rarely find in fancy wine bars, unless u r in New York City, or Europe...
Their cold cuts and cheese platter are great, tasty, with condiments and great BREAD! Much better than Cured where they serve them with no bread, just crackers, and it costs 3 times more... It's good, relatable quality versus "perceived, on paper only trying-too-hard higher quality"...
Postino is like the perfect girl next door: approachable, good-looking but down to earth, rather than a Victoria Secret model, beautiful but "high maintenance and very difficult"... and that's why we like it, cause it strikes the perfect sweet spot in all aspects: food,...
