I would love to give them a great review and I'm sure they are great but the reason for my two stars is the following reasons. I reached out to them on social media to find out if they were open due to the weather and got zero response from them(okay then). Also I have a gluten intolerance and I wasn't able to find anything on their social media if they had gluten free options, would be nice if this was posted somewhere. After no response and monitoring the weather, I decided to drive from the other side of town to check them out. I get there and the lady seems nice, greets me and says 'oh hi, my kid will help you when you're ready'. I turn around and there is this 7 year old with an Ipad ready to take my order. I ask if they have anything gluten free and the cute kid says no. My long drive could have been avoided if this was plastered on their social media, or if they replied to my inquiry. It's a shame they don't have gluten free options because I really wanted to try them. I was gonna say 'screw it' and let my intestines suffer but changed my mind because while I was looking at the menu, I just didn't like having the other employee(I think the ladys boyfriend/husband and kiddo) hover around me as I was trying to decide what I wanted. It just put me off, made me feel unwelcome so I ended up leaving. Oh well, I'll just stay within my comfort zone at Green I guess because at least over there I can find gluten free options and...

I decided to stop by the Go Vegan San Antonio food truck last Saturday on my way to a movie. The food truck is a semi-permanent fixture at The Block San Antonio, which is a great outdoor space with picnic tables served by multiple food trucks. I was craving something savory that day and Tara, the owner, recommended the BBQ Burger Mac ‘N’ Cheese and the Buffalo Wings with ranch. Even before my food came I was wildly impressed with Tara and the love she has for what she does. Unlike some owners she’s personally invested in her business and everything it stands for. After speaking with her for a few minutes about her passion and why she decided to open a food truck, she offered to let me try some of their from-scratch truckmade chili. Let me tell you that chili was honest to God some of the best chili I’ve ever had in my life. Shortly after, my actual food was ready and I dug in. The BBQ Burger Mac ‘N’ Cheese was amazing and a great spin on a traditional dish, and I’d tell you I enjoyed all of my Buffalo Wings - but my wife stole the rest when I was only halfway through. I had enough to know though that I’ll definitely be back, and I honestly can’t wait to try the rest of Tara’s menu. Overall, great location, great customer service, great food and great...

This place costs way too much money for food that's only marginally better than grocery-store microwave meals. I can't believe that a sandwich, a burger, a quesadilla, and a small shake collectively cost a whopping $60, especially considering how small the portions are. When you consider that their chief "meat" ingredient is apparently the same Beyond Meat that you could buy at the grocery store, and the fact that those meals don't even come with any included sides or appetizers as part of the cost, I can't imagine how anyone can justify eating here. Sure, you might spend more time making your own food at home, but you'll at least be saving yourself a fraction of the cost for a larger amount of food, and it'll likely taste just as good if not better than what this place offers. Which is all a drag, really, because I want to help support vegan dining options in San Antonio. But I can't in good conscience support this shop when the prices they're charging are...

The food was the worst vegan food we've had. The pasta in the mac and cheese was overcooked so it was mushy. The chicken from the chicken and waffles was bland, tough and tasteless and the waffles were frozen from a box. The patty melt was ok, i think they use beyond burger but the bread was not texas toast, it was some kind of whole grain bread like Dave's Killer Bread. The tostones were crunchy but oily and not very sweet. So we really oily like the French fries, which were some kind of frozen crinkle fries. I wanted to like this place, it looked good but it was very disappointing and very expensive too.

What what??? A VEGAN food truck??? Get outta here! You probably don’t believe me, but I ain’t lyin’. YES, it’s all vegan, all day long at this food truck. From smoothies and shakes, to sandwiches, tacos, and mac & cheese, they have it all here. They’re currently serving out at The Block food truck park. I had the Buffalo style chicken nuggets and vegan mac and cheese (the cheese is made from cashews - you gotta try this) for a total of $13. Both tasted like the real thing. I have no idea what was in it, but both were sure scrumpdidealicious. Even my carnivore friend was impressed by them.
