Check your receipts! This place is so shady. Yesterday was my first time going. It's a new restaurant so I decided to check out the food and the service. I went through the drive thru and order two bean and cheese and one bean eggs and cheese tacos. That came out to 5.15 which I paid at the window with my debit card. The next morning I checked my account to make sure the purchase cleared that's when I notice a debit for 6.15. So I decided to back but go inside this time. I placed the order for the same exact thing which came out to 5.15. Thats when I decided to ask the girl if thats was the correct price. The girl told me yes that's the price for that order. I pulled up my account and showed her the purchase of 6.15. The girl "michelle" told me she apologized but she will take the dollar off my purchase today. I told her that's not what concerns me, what concerns me is how did that happen. She first denied knowing then I asked her to see the receipt because I know I wrote 5.15 with no tip using a 0 with a line through it. She refused to show me but kept insisting she will just give me my money back. I asked her how do you even do that when I marked out the place to leave a tip. She finally admitted to me she added on the tip herself by entering it into the machine that I tipped her a dollar. Most likely she altered the the five to a six. I asked to speak to a manager. A man comes up and really didnt have much to say other then he didnt know what the big deal is for a dollar. I asked to have the owner call me which I have yet to receive that call. If you do decide to eat here make sure to check out accounts because with them being so new to the area they are really comfortable with scamming you. That makes me think they do this...
Read moreI had not been here in about a month or so and was stunned - STUNNED - at the changes. The tables and chairs and booths were ALL hand-crafted by Arte & Barrieas in gorgeous designs. The chairs and booths were superbly comfortable.
The artwork is NOT something one would get used to seeing over and over again. Handprints, handcrafted as well.
Of particular note for myself, I'm always tenuous of how long the particular condiments have been at the table when I enter a restaurant. It's not laziness, but if not busy, it possible for items to missed being refreshed.
A new procedure, is to leave all tables and booths clean and clutter free. When you sit, all condiments are brought to your table, and all look as if they are fresh....as in every container is full, the sugar packets are neatly organized, the salt n pepper shakers are full, napkin holders are full....it's just a refreshing take to ensure everything is pleasing and obviously taken care of....in fact as I was leaving, I had sight of their condiment prep table and as soon as a customer left, someone was busy ensuring the condiments were ready to go.
Yes, it's a bit more work for the staff, but this little change makes a huge impression.
The food remains excellent. I had a craving gor menudo, and mine was absolutely delicious and the wait staff remained very attentive to our needs.

Read moreWe usually have great service, but today, the lady in the drive thru earned a 1 star for her HORRIBLE service. Too bad there is no Zero to rate this place. She even repeated my order in the drive-thru with the correct price on the menu. I get home 4 to 5 minutes later and open my order to see it was wrong. Wrong and COLD. Not even warm. Maybe it came out of the refrigerator instead of cooked in the kitchen. I called to inform them and she was extremely RUDE and hung up the phone on me. She said to call back tomorrow because no manager was there today. I drove back to see her and another employee updating the drive- thru price menu because it was wrong. She could have easily fixed the order and apologized for the mistake, but instead she chose to argue. I gave her back the food and got my money back. She proceeds to yell in the restaurant with customers listening and looking at her as she is refunding my money. Very unprofessional for any business to have someone represent their business this way. What a shame. I have sent LOTS of business to that place. We have family in town every other weekend and spend good money there. Not ANY MORE. There are places that have much better service and food that treat customers with respect and act in a professional manner. I will be happy to drive miles away for a MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE! We are done...
