Hi Yelp users. I will tell you that I RARELY leave a review unless I feel something is very important (good or bad). Some of the employees at this Starbucks have a serious attitude problem . I ordered a soy latte and it came out iced instead of hot. The girl at the drive thru said "We all heard iced so next time don't say iced". I thought she was extremely rude and out of line. I don't know what sense of entitlement is going on with this employee but I will tell you this is not the first time this location has given attitude (for asking for an extra straw or sleeve).I have been with friends before picking up a mobile order and the person in the drive thru said "Who are you". A " What name is your order under?" or "Hello who am I helping today?" would be appreciated. Some of the other employees here are extremely nice and pleasant and I never have this issue with the Starbucks on Callaghan and Horizon. Only this one. Please improve !!
Update After going back today for a free drink from the manager because of the previous deplorable service, the employee at the drive thru said my "name was not on the list" for a free drink. She then accused me of having the wrong Starbucks (wrong again) and being rude and interrogating me about who I specifically talked to on the phone and why with an attitude. After driving up to the drive thru window she said "Oh, were you the one in the orange car? Yes, I spoke to you on the phone. We usually write things down but we did not (my name for my drink for their awful service)". No apology or anything. You would think they would make it a point to jot down an upset customer's name when they call to get it right on their makeup drink ? I am appalled at this service and will not be coming here anymore. I spend a lot of money for my coffee and this Starbucks needs not only an attitude check but needs to be audited for the world class service Starbucks aims to provide. This location gives you a bad name Starbucks .I buy your coffee everyday but I will be going to local coffee from now on. You have lost a...
Read moreI recently had the most amazing experience at the Starbucks on Medical Drive in San Antonio, Texas, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Lisa, the manager. I've been to this location several times before, but my last two visits really stood out in a way that I can't stop thinking about.
From the moment I walked in, the store was buzzing with customers, but everything felt perfectly organized. The staff was extremely helpful, the store was spotless, and the bathrooms were clean — all the little things that make a big difference. Despite the busy atmosphere, there was a sense of calm and efficiency that made everything run smoothly.
What truly impressed me, though, was Lisa’s level of attentiveness, sociability, and excellent communication skills. She was not only friendly and approachable, but she also had a confidence that radiated through her service. On my visit, I casually mentioned that I was looking for a coffee with a kick, and Lisa heard me the first time. Not only did she deliver exactly what I was asking for, but the drink was perfect— bold, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. It was clear that Lisa genuinely cares about providing the best experience for her customers.
Her ability to connect, communicate, and infuse her service with such positive energy made my visit feel exceptional. It wasn’t just good service; it was the complete customer experience. Lisa’s vibes of "coffidence" (confidence + coffee) made my time there feel memorable and effortless.
I left the store not just satisfied but genuinely impressed. Even days later, I found myself smiling and thinking about my visit. I’ll absolutely be returning, knowing that Lisa and her team have mastered the art of customer service.
Thank you, Lisa, for your attentiveness, sociability, communication skills, and for creating an environment filled with positive vibes. You've definitely earned...
Read moreLack of flexibility during COVID. The only tables available were not near outlets and the one that was was small. I asked if I could move a table temporarily and they did not allow this (table was 25 feet from anyone). I started to use two chairs to set my drink and my son's drink on so that we could use the small table for his online school and my homework while drinking and eating and waiting for my wife's surgery. They requested that I not use the chairs. When I asked if the barista could speak with management so that I could move a table temporarily then put it back, they were not able to allow it. As an ICU nurse and COVID nurse I understand COVID restrictions, but running at approx 25% with three tables spaced anywhere from 6 feet to 25 feet apart away from outlets is too much. I will surely not patron their establishment in any way until reasonable restrictions are accomplished. My son and I are crammed in a corner which is highly unreasonable. They even asked my 5 year old son right before finished his food to wear a mask which is not in compliance with state mandates. Based on the amount of restrictions, it felt like I was being harassed by the amount of new rules stated each time they approached. Current interventions prior to these changes are working as our data shows. There is no point in choking out your customer base at this point with new rules. The positive was that the staff were still kind and simply enforcing rules that they were told to do. Management needs to re-evaluate their table placement possibly...
