Summer Moon Coffee — Restaurant in San Antonio

We tried this adorable shop early last week just to grab some coffee while out and about, and wow are we glad we did! The staff was pretty friendly, and the coffees were outstanding! We were a little confused by the menu when we first got there, but the lady behind the counter explained everything efficiently and kindly. We both tried iced coffees, and they blew us away! I got a lavender coffee while my fiance got the mocha, and I honestly can’t say which one I preferred more. Each one was extremely unique and complex, but not overwhelmingly so! The rich milk adds this almost decadent texture and flavor, without being heavy or filling. They weren’t a sugar overload, and they weren’t painfully unsweetened either. Ontop of that, If you’re a fan of ms chickpeas pastries, they also carry them at the counter, and volunteered to heat them up without asking. The atmosphere was truly unique, and the seats were exceptionally comfortable. All patrons respected the unspoken rule of volume control, but nobody was too snooty or uptight. So it would be a wonderful place to get work done, or just relax for a moment of peace. We will definitely be going here again this week, and from now on. And we highly recommend you check it out...

My niece picked up an iced chai latte for me on February 24 and specifically ordered oat milk as I have increasingly become lactose intolerant. This drink definitely had dairy in it, and I suffered for 2 days.

Normally, I can tell the difference between regular milk and oat milk, but it was a little watered down when I got it, and my niece reassured me that she asked for oat milk twice. Also, I had not had their "spiced" chai, so I thought that might have hidden to oaty taste. After cramping, pain, and many other issues all night and into the morning, I felt well enough the next afternoon to go to the cafe to notify them about what happened. The barista was nice and apologetic. She took my name and number, but there was no follow-up. She also offered to make me another drink, but I declined because it's not about getting free drinks, TRAIN YOUR STAFF! People with dairy intolerances suffer greatly because of these mistakes. It makes me really sad to have to give this review. When I tried y'all's coffee for the first time I quite enjoyed the experience. From the barista, the atmosphere, the drinks, Summer Moon was banging that day. Today was not like that. The girl today was sweet upon entrance but I don't know what happened behind the counter. Both my iced and hot coffee taste awful. I asked for a strawberry latte hot and a strawberry latte iced, LIGHT ICE. Not fill my cup with ice, burn the coffee into bitterness and also have no sweetness at all. It even taste like a bad strawberry nicotine disposable, the type that burns the oil just for reference. Adding salt to injury, the cups were dirty and greasy so when I started driving and tried to take a sip, the cup was so slick it spilled all over my seat. I do not have dirty hands, I take my hand sanitizer with me everywhere. It just sucked it came from y'all when I already trusted in your quality of service and taste.
