We went to eat there for my husband’s birthday tonight. The server did not let us know that there was no rice that was supposed to be a side dish for all of the plates. She took our orders without letting us know ahead of time so we could make a choice whether we wanted to continue ordering. She served us our plates with no rice claiming that “the rice went bad earlier so the kitchen had to throw it all away”. Now keep in mind that it was 8:30 PM. How does the restaurants’s rice go bad and they don’t plan on cooking more? The place closed at 11 PM and yet they didn’t want to make more.
My husband’s plate was served with double beans (refried and ranchero). A friend that we took for the first time…her plate came with no rice either and the server offered “salad”. For the inconvenience.. we were still charged the same price. We were served with a “salad” on the side. It was a very bad experience. The server barely wanted to pass by our table, perhaps not wanting to be told anything. We will never go back again. We looked forward to eating there because we’ve gone to another Taqueria Jalisco on before but this location is no good. Three...
Read moreI think the food is great my family and I go here all the time. It's kind of small but every time I go the service is good and the food is always fresh and hot. I do have to complain about an experience I recently had though. A few days ago I ate here with my family and noticed I was charged twice (it happens I understand we are human). Well when I called the next day the lady on the phone said the "manager is in tomorrow you can stop by before 3pm," so I did. I went in with a very positive attitude and knowing the outcome would have been me getting refunded my money and an apology since I did have a receipt and with my card number they would look up the charges on the machine and compare it to my bank charges. Wrong! The manager confronted me rudely and denied ever charging me twice and refused to give me my money back, putting the printed receipt in my face saying "see" when I know how card machines work. You can print out what you choose to so I had to call my bank and dispute this charge. Just saying, I would be careful. Pay with cash, and always get a receipt. Also, keep up with the charges to your card. It's easy to make...
Read moreFood was mediocre sadly because our server was incredibly attentive, friendly and had such a great attitude even though they were busy. It tastes like of the food is made with little to no flavor. And how are you supposed to fix something like pozole or caldo from being lackluster? By adding salsa in it...?
Tastes very bland and cheap.
Also, I noticed the young busser is very unhygienic when cleaning the tabletops, all of the food crumbs just fell into the seats. He also didn't wash the rag and I watched him clean about five tables, no joke. He didn't wash his hands after touching the dirty rag and thankfully he doesn't run for to the tables or it'd be a way bigger problem. The rag is also placed on a counter two feet from a customer's head near a plant, no cleaning and disinfectant solution nearby.
I'll just make Mexican food at home...
