Theory Coffee Company — Restaurant in San Antonio

I found this little cool coffee truck last week. The only draw back is...it was hard to find because I was expecting a brick and mortar store, so I literally drove past it. Word of warning...it's on the corner of 410 and Nacogdoches...and it's A FOOD TRUCK!!!! That's the only thing that was a draw back. If you want to consider that a draw back. Now onto the review:

They are an Austin based company, but everyone in the coffee truck is from San Antonio. And oh man, the coffee is good. Beans are nice and mellow, they aren't acidic and aren't to strong. The service is pretty quick since you have to get out of your car to order. They do have a limited menu since it's a coffee truck, so it's mainly just coffee...drip, lattes, etc. No blended. They did ask if I wanted my latte iced. They do have pastries. I tried the chocolate scone and didn't care for it. But who ever made the Pecan Praline Pop Tart needs to locked up for life and made to mass produce those. O.M.G!!! Those were next to heaven. They were homemade and WOW!!! Honestly, they were too good. Very sweet and sooo not Keto friendly! So, if you need to kill yourself with a sugar coma...get that, you can't go wrong. And if you find yourself jonesing for some coffee and your by the airport, swing by Theory Coffee and hop out. Excellent coffee, service and Pecan...

SHORT REVIEW: Best damn coffee I've had in a while from really nice guys with sweet tattoos 😁👌🏻 LONG REVIEW: First time here passing through for a drive from Houston to Phoenix. I was expecting a nice coffee shop but it's actually just a coffee truck lol so that took me for surprise and wasn't very sure about getting a coffee there. There was a line and we were on a schedule so we decided to try it, and am I happy we did! The guys in there were extremely ice and helpful! We had no idea what to order since there was no menu but they guided us by asking what we like and what we drink. I got a caramel latte with 2% milk and my boyfriend got the latte with oat milk, the milk made my tummy hurt a bit but next time I'd get coconut milk. My boyfriend said he liked it strong so they gave him two shots of espresso and one shot was complimentary which I thought was really nice of them. They sell food and wanted to get something but there was a line behind us so we didn't want to hold it up anymore. The coffee was really caffeinated too which was perfect! Amazing coffee with awesome service...

I was looking for espresso close to the hospital. I searched Google Maps for espresso and found Theory. I was intrigued by the concept of a concession trailer and noted the few but highly scored reviews. I am an espresso aficionado and am particular about my espressos. I choose not to support the giant (they have horrible espresso anyway). I look for local shops using locally roasted beans... POWER to the small business owner! I watched Mark finish a drink for the person ahead of me when I arrived this morning. I could tell right away that Mark was intense about his craft. I ordered a quad espresso, macchiato style and Mark went to work weighing the ground coffee in the portafilter and then weighing the drink, too. This further proved to me Mark's knowledge and skill in his chosen craft. Mark described his espresso as fruity but not too much. It was excellent and I will be back...
