My Last Straw at Wing Daddy's – Even Great Wings Can't Excuse This Anymore

As a loyal customer who's frequented Wing Daddy's 1-2 times a week, and a former server/bartender with a strong track record in hospitality, it pains me to write this. While I've long tolerated the generally subpar service for the sake of your delicious lemon pepper/hot mix Tangy Habanero (or whatever the official name is!), my recent visit was the absolute last straw. My brother was in town, and I wanted him to experience the wings I love so much. We seated ourselves at my favorite table, which was, predictably, dirty. No big deal, we're reasonable people, so we moved to another. Our server, Kenny (light-skinned with curly hair), greeted us after about five minutes – a typical wait, so no complaints there. She candidly informed us there was no water or tea, and any water she was drinking was unfiltered. While slightly frustrating as I was parched, Kenny herself was actually quite good by Wing Daddy's standards, and this review is not a reflection on her performance. Our drinks took a bit longer than ideal, but again, that's not the core issue. What truly pushed me over the edge was finding a crispy hair cooked into my third wing. It was clearly integrated into the cooking process, and definitely not our server's. I calmly informed Kenny, emphasizing I wasn't upset and would still eat the wings. I then watched her approach the manager. His reaction was infuriating: a nonchalant walk-over, a dismissive ear-out, and absolutely no reaction from him. No apology, no accountability, no acknowledgment – he didn't even bother to look in our direction. When Kenny returned, she relayed his baffling response: "What do they want me to do?" He eventually offered a 20% discount, which, ironically, is the same discount I'd receive as a Marine Corps veteran. This complete lack of care from management is unacceptable. A simple apology and acknowledgment of responsibility would have sufficed and prevented this review. It's clear that Wing Daddy's has no real standards or formal training for their staff, and the management couldn't care less. While the wings themselves remain a 5/5, the overall experience, especially due to the appalling managerial response, is a dismal 1/5. I'm open to discussing this experience further with someone from Wing Daddy's. However, if I don't receive a timely and appropriate response, I will be escalating this to the Better Business Bureau or the Department of Health. If this is what we can see of your standards, I dread to think what goes on behind the scenes. I went to this location for the first time this past Thursday. It was really busy because the Spurs were playing so it took a couple of minutes to get seated which was fine with us. The waitress came over to take our order. We ordered fried pickles and 2 orders of chicken and waffles. When the food came out both plays came out with 2 strips and the waitress said there was a wait on the missing strips and she would bring them out once they were done. We then asked about the fried pickles because that was supposed to be the appetizer. She said she would go check on it, honestly I think she forgot to place that part of the order. The chicken strips were delicious but the waffles were a joke. They definitely were flat like pancakes, and ver messy at that. Our strips came like 10-15 mins later once we had finished the food. I saw a table diagonally from our table get a chicken and waffle plate so I’m not so sure why it took so long. The fried pickles are taking a long time so we go ahead and tell the waitress to cance them. I think that annoyed her so she literally never came back and ignored us the rest of the night. She would come back often and check on the table right next to us but would NEVER ask us if we needed anything else or a refill. We had to get our check from another woman (I think an associate manager) who actually didn’t even bring us the receipt. We had to physically get up from the table and wait at the front so we could get our receipt and pay. Honestly, we could have walked out and no one would have noticed. All other waitresses were friendly and nice to us (except our very own). This was THE ABSOLUTE WORST customer experience we have ever had. Literally waited like 30 minutes to pay. never again! if you have nothing to do for the rest of the evening and you like cold food this is the place for you.if you get renae be ready for crappy service, and her saying sorry ten million times cause of her crappy service. took a long time before our waitress came and got our drink order, then took for ever to get our food order in, we had to flag down another server to tell our server we been waiting for her to take our order. when the food finally came the wings were luke warm fries colder then a pimps heart, the onion rings were hot, but I think she forgot about the rings and made them cook some in the rush. then some other server had to check in on us, cause renae was no where to be found. starting to looking up the reviews on this place and all the low scores are the same crappy service. and if you read the reviews it sounds like one of the servers named Cassandra is a little too friendly. from one guys review he liked how he got "served" then another review from a lady saying keep your guys away from her, so yea great wait staff here. feel sorry for the family that sat next to us, you can see them looking for renae, and yup no where to be found, wanted to tell them sorry but we going threw the same bs over here with the server.
