The food was exceptionally wonderful. We found the restaurant via Google search for "oyster bar near me" as we were in town for a conference. It had a good variety of seafood on the menu, so we said why not. The restaurant was very clean and had a fun vibe. We were quickly greeted and seated. Addison, our waitress, served us perfectly with a smile and told us all about the menu and oyster selections. Her knowledge of the menu was impeccable and gave great suggestions as to what type of oysters from the list would be best for our palates. It was a varied and expansive selection to choose from. She helped make it a perfect experience. So, we had a bit of everything starting with the seafood chowder, calamari, an awesome selection of raw oysters, beet salads and grilled oysters for appetizers. All of the above were amazing! Every bite was something new. Especially the grilled oysters. The creamed gouda and spinach sauce with truffled bread crumb topping was heavenly. They are some of the best that I have ever had, and I eat oysters all around the US. The slight nuances in preparation and taste made this my new favorite Fort Myers restaurant. We then went to the entrees where we had fish and chips, fried shrimp, crab cakes and a steak sandwich. Once again, perfection. The fish was light, flaky and juicy without being greasy. Same with the fried shrimp and crab cakes. The potatoes and steak sandwich were seasoned just right. This was a great experience and we will definitely return next year at our next annual conference. Definitely the best flavor profile and service that we experienced this year in Ft Myers. The chefs are geniuses and have a deft hand at preparing an unforgettable meal. If you don't come by here, you are missing out on...

Threes across the board. Barely. Sat at bar. Ordered oysters. They were good. I ordered the roasted oysters and chose a variety as they instructed and then one of each of the others. I received all oysters available in the list including the same variety I had ordered roasted. No big, she probably didn't hear me as it's loud in there and getting a raw oyster you didn't order is only 3.50. I didn't say anything and ate them all as they were still tasty. She asked if I wanted another glass of wine. Yes, I said. It never came. Maybe she didn't heare oray e she was preoccupied and wanted to get out of there. Note, I'm writing this review from my car and it's not even 8pm yet. And from there no one checked on me again. My entree came. I ordered salmon medium rare. I was excited they said they could make it that way. It arrived .... Overcooked. Way overcooked. I looked around and didn't see the bartender who had been helping me. When I finally did see her, she was packing up to leave. She never asked how anything was. The other bartender who took over, I guess his name was Jeff from my ticket, didn't even bother saying hello. He only talked to me when I asked for my bill and that 'here.' He looked at my entree of uneaten food. I told him you can take that away. He didn't inquire nor show any ounce of anything. Just stop there waiting for me to sign the ticket so he could see how much tip I left. Barely 10% if you're wondering. The bar was NOT over crowded and they were not slammed.

I thought I found a great place near to my hotel. Nope, I found a place that can pick up your entree barely eaten and not even ask you how it was. No one once asked how any of...

Coldwater Oyster Market is hands-down one of the best dining spots in Fort Myers, and it’s our go-to every time we’re in the area. The food is consistently outstanding, with their fresh, expertly shucked oysters stealing the show—each one bursts with briny, clean flavor from both East and West Coast varieties. The craft beer selection is equally impressive, featuring a rotating lineup of 44 taps with local Southwest Florida brews that pair perfectly with the seafood-driven menu. One dish we can’t stop raving about is the cast iron scallops with risotto. The scallops are seared to a perfect golden crust, tender and buttery, while the creamy risotto underneath is rich and perfectly balanced—a combination that never fails to wow us. Beyond the food, what sets Coldwater apart is its welcoming, pet-friendly patio. Our dog loves joining us for dinner, and the staff always makes sure our pup is comfortable with a fresh bowl of water. The atmosphere strikes just the right chord: lively yet relaxed, with live music adding energy to the modern, nautical-inspired space. Whether it’s the two buck shuck happy hour (3-6 PM, Sunday-Thursday) or a full meal, the service is attentive and friendly, with servers who know the menu inside and out and offer spot-on recommendations. We recommend Coldwater Oyster Market to everyone we know, especially seafood lovers and craft beer enthusiasts. From the standout dishes like the lobster roll and clam chowder to the unbeatable vibe, this place delivers every single time. If you’re in Fort Myers and looking for a memorable meal with your furry friend in tow, this is the spot to hit. You won’t be...
