Just ordered some food from door dash and the mapo tofu came with a cockroach. Edit: I've never had the need to leave reviews, that's why I only have one review. And this one time I spoke out because I had to, unfortunately. Very unprofessional response from owner. Obviously, we dumped the soup into our own personal bowl at home so that we could easily share it. I'm a foodie and travel a lot for my job. I do not operate any restaurants but I do love discovering new foods! Compared to many other restaurants in my travels, this restaurant lacked in flavor anyhow. At the very least, owner should take this as constructive criticism and improve their sanitation.

Dropped by King Chuan's after a tough day at the office on a Thursday night about 10:30. Nobody but me eating here? The place was empty but they close at midnight. That's fine because service was prompt and there was hardly a wait for food. They deliver locally until 10p. Good to know. Started off with : 'Fried Prawns' app. 5/5. Crunchy, golden battered shrimp tender on the inside, served with the most extreme hot mustard I've ever had! Followed up with : 'Singapore noodles' 5/5. Soft noodles tossed in a light curry seasoning mixed with tasty veggies, chicken and more shrimp. Didn't hurt the wallet either. Just under $30 otd.

Portion was large, the meal was freshly prepared however I prefer the Chinese chicken salad with a classic mustard and vinegar dressing not the sweet dressing this salad was served with. I regret that this was a to go order and so the Resteraunt was not able to replace the dressing as I was miles away by the time I started eating. The batter on the chicken was pasty so the entire dish just was not to my taste. Just to be clear I only ordered the Chinese chicken salad and it is likely they make other dishes which taste better so to break it down: Chinese chicken salad only one star. Staff friendly and efficient three stars.

Check these guys out! You won't be disappointed. Quality is value!

Easy to find off the main Street El Camino. Service is great on Sunday evenings. They're open until 12am on Sundays if you're not in the mood for fast food late dining.

Quality of meals is made fresh which can be customized at your request if you have food allergies or diet standards and staff is patient to assist or make selections substitutions.

Very clean establishment. You don't really smell the food that lingers on the rug or walls that some restaurants have.

Staff are friendly and professional that I've met and have serviced me on Sunday evening and they know their menu.

Atmosphere is quiet low-key vibe with a bright ambiance during evenings. Parking is in front of restaurant or along the street. 1 block up (walking distance) the street from San Carlos Caltrain station on San Carlos Ave and San Carlos bus terminal off of El Camino.

Easy access to 101Hwy N&S

So check them out, you won't be...

We went here on Christmas Eve for dinner - it's kind of a family tradition to eat out Chinese on Christmas Eve for us. One of the things we ordered was Mongolian Beef. My wife thought it tasted a bit odd - I didn't think it was terrible, but it definitely tasted a bit weird.

Two days later I got the left overs from King Chuan out to eat for a quick lunch. I reheated it in my microwave and then began eating. Two bites in I hit something that was not chewable. I assumed it was a piece of grizzle or something and pulled it out of my mouth. It turned out to be a CIGARETTE BUTT! (See uploaded photos)

Disgusting! I will never ever return to this place. In fact I may never visit another "hole in the wall" Chinese food place after...

Amazing food service always good, but has gotten too expensive. We've been coming 2-3 times a month for years, but are going to have to cut back because of the price. In 2022 they charged $13 for fried rice and chow mein. Then increased to $15... ok I get it, inflation and all. But now it's $18, and that might be too much for rice and noodles. Our bill for our usual order was $55 in 2022, now it's $78. Again I get it, inflation, tariffs, etc. I don't think it's greed, I think they're just trying to survive. But so are we. And as a result, we'll be spending $78 once a month or so rather than $100 to $150 per month over multiple visits.

Again, amazing food, but they have priced us out of...
