Stopped in here while visiting from out of town. Place has an excellent sense of style but the service was not super impressive. Only 1 other guest in front when we were there in the late afternoon. They ordered a chai, I ordered a nitro cold brew and picked up a bag of whole bean coffee. It took about 5 minutes for the nitro to be pulled, which is odd. The cashier and barista just didn't seem to have any sense of urgency.

The drink I received was pretty disappointing. Even though I ordered nitro, it was served in a standard 16oz cup with about 1/3 ice. I've only ever had nitro one other place that served it with ice and it was a barista accident. It really ruins the visual cascade and immediately defroths the drink. I asked the barista as soon as they gave me my order "do you always add ice to the nitro?" to which he responded "yeah, of course" as though I was the first person to ever question this (which I highly doubt). Their cup label even indicated they include ice, though I wasn't specifically asked about it when I ordered nitro. So it's safe to say, this is just what they do here.

The cold brew itself seemed fairly watered down to begin with, so I definitely can't recommend the cold brew or the nitro based on my experience.

I'd say overall staff service 3.5 stars, shop aesthetic 5 stars, whole bean coffee 4 stars, nitro 1 star. If I'm ever nearby again I'd have to try a different drink, but I'd more likely try a...

Really nice and open vibe, staff super friendly and patient...Invited an old friend to meet for her birthday with the lure of lavender matchas! We were both running late, but I arrived an hour early and got to scope out the Buzz. I've visited most of the locations this one is by far the most open and welcoming and although it is 2 blocks from the cove, parking is prime! Every type of customer arrived via walking tour, scooter, baby stroller and my favorite an senior hipster with the newest, cleanest mercedes coupe ever. (he literally hopped out with a polo shirt, tie tucked into his jeans, gucci belt blazer & golf cap and I wanted his autograph for being so damn cool)...

Although I did order the iced matcha with lavender, it just came out regular...still tasty, but I was so busy chatting with K; didn't bother to correct order. My avocado toast was perfection! Granted, this is only my second time ordering but watermelon radish- and at my request they added feta....so delish, took half home with me. Next time I plan to double up on pastries, zucchini walnut muffins & lemon poppy...

I absolutely enjoy going to Better Buzz Coffee in La Jolla. The moment I walk in, I am greeted with a warm welcome from the staff. They are always so helpful and willing to assist with any questions I may have about the menu.

Not only is the staff welcoming, but they are also incredibly pleasant to interact with. They take the time to chat with customers and make sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying their experience. I always leave Better Buzz feeling happy and satisfied with the service I received.

In addition to the fantastic staff, the coffee at Better Buzz is top-notch. The quality of the drinks is consistently excellent, and I enjoy trying out their unique and delicious flavor combinations. Whether I'm in the mood for a classic latte or a specialty drink, I know that I can always count on Better Buzz to deliver a great cup of coffee.

Overall, I highly recommend Better Buzz Coffee in La Jolla. The welcoming and pleasant staff, combined with the delicious coffee, make it a must-visit spot for any coffee lover. I can't wait to go back and enjoy another great cup of...

Not a coffee place. Maybe their food and other drinks are good, but I ordered a "cortodo" and essentially received a very poor cappuccino. Would not have been nearly as upset if the drink tasted good, but the foam was bubbly with no body. The milk tasted watery, and the espresso was super bitter. Ended up throwing it out. My fiance got their signature hazelnut latte (forgot the name, but it's the one on their menu). It was insanely sweet, and also has the same exact terribly textured milk. Huge bubbles, no micro foam at all. She drank around a third of it before throwing it. The 2 stars were for the nitro which was decent. It was definitely a darker less complex coffee to begin with, but their infusion process is decent and provides a good head. Overall not great, essentially an off brand Starbucks in quality

Very cute open-air coffee shop, but there are better options in the area. Pros: location is nice and the decor is super cute. There are allergy friendly menu options. Cons: None of our items came out at the same time and the service was very mediocre. ———————— Staff: lacking in customer service, very unenthusiastic, not very helpful with suggestions on menu items Food: they have gluten free options (yay), but overall the food was pricey and lacking in flavor. We ordered two food items on the same order, but they came out five minutes apart. Drinks: the smoothie was delicious, best thing we ordered by far. Coffee was just ok, nothing spectacular. Both drinks came out at different times as well. There were no sugar free energy drink options available.

Had a patient cancel on me, so I took the chance to finally check out the cute coffee shop across the street from our office. I know they have multiple locations, but this was my first time trying it out. I only ordered a latte since I had already eaten breakfast. It was pretty good (it wasn’t super foamy) but still solid. The shop itself is very cute and trendy, with fun merch featuring their logo and slogan, which adds a nice touch. The staff was friendly, and even though things were moving a bit slow, they got my drink out without much of a wait and kept the energy buzzing. The atmosphere and welcoming service made it a great overall experience. I’ll definitely be back—especially on those mornings when I need a little extra pick-me-up before work!
