Google maps got it wrong. They're open from 7to7. So they were closing when I got there. Even so the display cases were filled with a vast array of delicious items. I got the rest of the lamb stew for a mere $6. It turned out to be plenty with big chunks of lamb, carrots and potatoes swimming in a delicious gravy.
In case that wasn't enough (it was) I also got a roasted chicken breast quarter for only $3.50. While it was quite good it couldn't compete with the lamb stew. Although, with the addition of a little salt, it would have been Amazing! But that's more the fault of my blood pressure than of the cooking. I was just going to eat a little since I bought it (and I was full of stew) but I ended up wolfing down every bite.
And just to prove that these guys are as friendly as they are great cooks they surprised me with a muffin for tomorrow's breakfast at no cost. Taking one last look as I went out the door I almost stopped to buy some of the pastries. But, again, they were trying to close. Next time, I promised myself, because I will...

As someone not in that demographic I was low-key shocked and offended when I dined here. Some of the staff are down-right odd and not in a charming way.

The food was gross. I ordered the special of the day which was beef stroganoff. They put it in a paper container, heated it up, and brought it out to me.
How is there only 8 reviews?! This place is AMAZING. home-style; family-style vibes.
I had the pecan cinnamon roll first. It was perfectly flaky on the outside and the inside was warm, moist and flavorful! No overpower from the spices. Everything balanced!
Then I went back for their beef stew and rice. Took it home so I could eat it and plan my nap hahaha. It was delicious.
The beef was tender but not too soft where it lost its form. The celery, mushrooms, carrots, onions, etc was cooked perfect with the same, holding its form and not turning into a slop. The sauce had a good mild tomato base but the acidity was not high.
U can definitely taste the time, effort and care these guys put into their food.
The attendants (I went 2x separate times within the span of a couple hours) were patient and friendly. A simple smile to them and they smile right back :)
Definitely gonna make this a regular place. They have so many items to try out.
Sorry I don’t have more photos. I...
