Chef'em Mariscos — Restaurant in San Diego

Waited over 60 minutes to get a side of normal, basic fries. When I ordered they did not mention the wait would be over an hour. Rather than prioritize ease & speed over, they only did a first in first out system. I had to wait for an order of 30 tacos before my fries when all they literally had to do was take the fries from the frier basket and put into a bowl. No meat, no sauce, no toppings. Just basic fries in a bowl. Finally had to get a refund because my entire group already left after drinking a few beers.

Someone drove to Taco Bell and back quicker than ordering here. Food MIGHT be decent but good luck...

I had the opportunity to try tacos from chef em mariscos truck and honestly they where very yummy. My family and friends loved all the tacos but the Fish, surf & turf and Gobernador tacos stood out a little extra and they where so delicious !!!! I highly recommend. Everything was made to order with fresh ingredients. All of the sauces are made fresh in house and the tortillas are made by a local tortilleria.

Tried this food truck when visiting Duck Foot Brewing on Friday. Fish tacos - not good, weirdly they chose arugula for the veg and the fish didn't taste fresh (had that heavy frozen taste). The breading and tortillas were also subpar. The 8 lemon pepper wings were much better and the redeeming factor in this meal - very salty but flavorful and full of crunch. tldr; Overpriced and quite slooooow, considering we were the only customer. The guy working was kind, but I'd pass on this vendor...
