Never disappoints. After not having been for a while, I had breakfast there again and took notice of the new menu, with revamped menu items. The place also made upgrades and looks great. I love going right when they open to get my fill of food and the ocean before the crazy rush and parking becomes nonexistent. The staff is always very friendly and makes considerations to accommodate every customer they welcome in. Local or traveler, the business bustles and their friendly and casual atmosphere is great for families and a day at a beach bar with your friends, as well. The place is lined with new, flat screen televisions, has both indoor and open air seating, and a fully stocked bar, as well as a great selection of both domestic and import beers, on tap too! Walking distance to the shore, it shares immediate parking with the amusement park and neighboring businesses, so arrive early to find parking or stop by while walking the mission beach strip!

I originally went here for the gluten free reviews and I was NOT disappointed! The brisket chili is to die for! My gluten eating bf even got a bowl to take home after trying mine. He got the wings (not gf) and enjoyed them. I got the old timer burger on a lettuce wrap. They did have an Udi's roll but I opted for the lettuce wrap instead. They took precaution in the kitchen to avoid Cross contamination on the grill and utensils. They even went a step further when I asked them to make two small patties rather than one 7.5 ounce patty (my personal preference). The service was great! The food was amazing. The manager came out and checked on us and our satisfaction several times. The drinks were poured with a heavy hand 👌🤤😉. If I'm ever in the area again, we will absolutely return! Highly recommend. It's a short stroll to the beach to watch the sun set. Shopping next door for souvenirs. Parking can be tricky so come a little early.

I'm a big fan of the Cohen restaurants but by no means is the Coaster Saloon a good representation of the Cohen brand. I got an email today from the Cohen group stating its National Cheeseburger Day (yay) and promoting the Coaster Saloon. Alrighty we're going!!! The employee at the Coaster Saloon have no idea that is National Cheeseburger Day and who is the Cohen group. Really..... The burger was decent don't bother to ask how we want it cooked if you can't achieve cooking them correctly. Both of are burgers were wrong. We saw several other table's sent their food back. The worst part about the whole experience was the FLIES !!! We only ate a quarter of our food and surrendered. We set are food on another table to distract the flies from us so we could pay the check and get out. Sorry Coaster Saloon no return business from us. I miss the old Coaster Saloon from back in the day !!!

Title: An Unforgettable Experience at Coasters - Where BBQ and Hospitality Meet!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

From the moment we stepped into Coasters, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth, hospitality, and the tantalizing aroma of their world-class BBQ. Let's dive into what makes this place a must-visit:

The BBQ: Oh, where do I even begin? The BBQ at Coasters isn't just food; it's an experience. The meats are smoked to perfection, with a flavor profile that dances on your palate - smoky, tender, and infused with just the right amount of spice. Whether you're a fan of ribs, brisket, or pulled pork, each dish is a testament to the art of BBQ. The sides are equally impressive, complementing the main course with flavors that are both comforting and innovative.

Kuba and Maciej - The Dynamic Duo: Kuba and Maciej, the brotherly duo behind the bar, are the heart and soul of Coasters. Their customer service isn't just top-notch; it's beyond exceptional. Here's why:

Knowledgeable: These guys aren't just bartenders; they're local legends. They provided us with insider tips on the best spots in town, from hidden gems to must-see attractions. Their knowledge of the area is both extensive and enthusiastic, making every conversation a mini-adventure.

Attentive: Kuba and Maciej have an uncanny ability to anticipate your needs before you even express them. Drinks were never empty, and their attention to detail made us feel not just like customers, but like valued guests in their home.

Personality: The energy they bring to the bar is infectious. Their humor, combined with their genuine interest in making sure everyone has a fantastic time, creates an environment where you instantly feel like part of the family.

The Ambiance: Coasters has managed to strike the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. The decor is inviting, the music sets just the right mood, and the overall vibe is one of relaxed enjoyment. It's the kind of place where you come for the food and stay for the atmosphere.

Conclusion: Our visit to Coasters was more than just a meal; it was an experience crafted with love, expertise, and a genuine desire to make every guest feel special. Kuba and Maciej, along with the entire team, have created a sanctuary for BBQ lovers and anyone looking for a memorable night out. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Coasters. You won't just eat; you'll be part of a community where every detail is designed to delight.

Thank you, Coasters, for not just meeting but exceeding every expectation. We'll be back, and we'll...

Was visiting San Diego for a tennis event and we wanted to host a family dinner for the team. After doing some extensive research, I selected this place based on reviews and its proximity to our rental house. This place DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Every step of the planning of this dinner for 20 people was fabulous. Great communication with the coordinator and she was extremely patient as I tried to reconfigure all the different items from packages to a la carte. Every step of the way, she was gracious and accommodating and was never frustrated with me, even though I was changing my mind on different things. When that was over, the staff at the location WOWED me as well. Fantastic packaging for my catering, and the chef and manager helped me carry it to our car even though there were 2 others that volunteered to go with me to do that. After all that, I would have been thrilled with the experience, even if the food was just okay. It was not just okay...all items were a major hit. The ribs were great, however, the beans, brisket and banana bread pudding ARE NOT TO BE MISSED AND ARE MUST HAVES. In fact, some of us are still talking about those items in particular, and it was over 1 month ago. I was so thrilled with this place, I recommended it by name in my VRBO review of the house we rented. LOL Thank you all for making our trip and family dinner an incredible success. You truly live up to your google reviews and I will be sure to go there if I ever am in San...

Excellent, if it were possible I would give an extra 2 stars just for the brisket. This is our 5th bbq place to try and our favorite. We had feast for two which included brisket, chicken, pulled pork, Texas toast and 3 sides (we chose killer baked beans, green beans and coleslaw.) We started with buffalo cauliflower that was delicious but a tiny bit on the hot side. I did enjoy they sprinkled Bleu cheese over it, a very nice touch. As I said the brisket was absolutely brilliant. It fell apart on the fork and melted like butter in your mouth - absolutely fantastic. The pulled pork was fantastic. Many places serve over cooked and dry pulled pork and try to fix it with bbq sauce - not the case here. The pork itself was perfectly cooked and juicy, the bbq sauce was delicious and added to the flavor and juiciness of the pork. The chicken was cut into bite sized chunks and served covered in BBQ sauce. It too was quite juicy and delicious on its own and the sauce was quite complimentary. The Coaster Saloon is right across the street from the roller coaster and beach adjacent giving it a total California beach vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. The people watching was fun too. Again, EXCELLENT place for BBQ and a cocktail by the beach. We done out twice a week in San Diego so thanks Coaster Saloon and we...
