SUPER SCARY AND CREEPY Experience
Best Coldstone turned into the worst, The Mission Valley Fenton Parkway location. There are good employees at this Coldstone, but we went in there a few nights ago and were treated unfairly. Employee overcharged us, and then another gave us a smaller total. We received a refund on the spot and an excuse why it happened, but no apology. The second thing that happened was my ice cream didn't go over the lid of the cup, yet the cover is rounded. It looked like it was half empty. She said that is how much is supposed to be in there. I told her I will shop somewhere else for $6 ice cream if the portions were so little. She then said all Cold Stones serve it that way. I then said I wouldn't go to any ColdStone that would not even fill the cup. They later with attitude said Have a nice night three separate times, and then when the door was closing behind us, one said "have the night you deserve". Which is weird and rude.
I later made a complaint to the cold stone website. I didn't want to make a google review based on one experience. The next day I get an apology from Jerry the franchise owner. He invited me in to talk about it, and to offer me a treat. I wasn't planning on it, I let my money do my talking (stop buying from them). But here is where the story gets scary and creepy.
I made the mistake of giving my phone number in the complaint, ( thought I could answer any questions if he had them.)
Jerry gave my complaint to the employees working that night without removing my personal information.
11pm I get a phone call from an unrecognized phone number
Girl : Hello is this Steve? Me: Yes Girl: I wanted to let you know that I just found out my husband is sleeping with your partner. Me: Who is this Girl: I don't want to say, I just wanted you to know. Me: Who is he? Girl: I can't say (hung up)
I then talked to my fiancé what happened, and we were both really upset and confused.
I called back, and she asked that I stopped harassing her????? after awhile I figured it could be one of the girls at Cold Stone and texted her to meet me there for some free ice cream that the owner offered me. She said she didn't want to meet me or my Wh@RE.
Today I go see Jerry at Cold Stone, Told him that I received a phone call from someone who works here and he seemed confused. I asked him if the phone number was one of his employees, and he confirmed it was one of the girls that he showed my complaint to. I told him what happened and he said he would talk to her. HE offered me ice cream, I turned it down. (goodbye cakebatter ice cream)
I wrote him an email thanking him for his time, and that I am worried about any further retaliation. He said he talked to the employee and doesn't feel that there will be anymore problems. Maybe she is a relative to the owner, and won't get fired.
I told him that this representative was trying to destroy my relationship, and she represents his personal business and coldstone. I also think this person has gone way over the line and should be fired.
I wasn't planning a google review, but it seems that he didn't really care enough about my issue to show me any resolve. I would avoid this coldstone.
This story is scary and 100% correct, I have emails and text messages and recorded conversations to prove it. IT is a completely strange story that I wish I made up.

I ordered a custom cake to be delivered to my son for his birthday and chose 6:30pm on the online order form. I received a text at 3:30 pm stating the cake was being picked up by Uber. I went into panic mode because that would mean it would sit outside for 3 hrs !! Sheesh itâs an ice cream cake. So Amy and her crew worked to get the order canceled.
I was told to make another order to be delivered close yo the drop off time I wanted. So I did and chose âhand offâ as opposed to leave at the door.
