Ordered breakfast for dinner in early July, used online ordering option. Unfortunately was delivered through door dash. There was nothing on their site when ordering that indicated that IHOP would be using a 3rd party, let alone door dash. If there had been I would not have ordered that way as Door Dash consistently provides poor service, I have seen this from the standpoint of a guest and working restaurant management. Our food arrived on time but was obviously dropped and we were worried it was touched after the box fell open in whatever way, due to the food smeared on the outside of the box. We didn’t feel comfortable feeding that to our family, especially because of young children and the virus pandemic. I called the restaurant and was very unhappy with the servers confused response. She didn’t seem to understand what the issue was but was kind regardless. The door dash driver had passed blame that the servers dropped the food before giving it to him, but she adamantly denied that, which I’m inclined to believe. She left a note for her manager, David, and I received a callback the following day around lunchtime. He was courteous and apologetic and said he would refund us for our meal we weren’t able to eat. He was the saving grace for our issue, but it’s been almost 3 weeks and we haven’t received our refund, so have resolved...
Read moreIgnored our order for over an hour until we came to check and see it was ready yet - and we still had to wait a while in the lobby before they even started - long enough for them to seat, cook for, and feed multiple additional tables worth of people coming in the door, which we had to sit and watch happen.
After an absurd amount of time, we got our food and took it home. Instead of expensive fancy promotional pancakes they gave us plain dry pancakes and thought we wouldn't notice. Instead of a beef burrito we were given a rice and avacado bowl with a few small shreds of beef on the side. The burgers looked like they were several hours old, even though they were supposedly fresh.
By the time we took the food back, the restaurant was already in the early stages of closing. I understand that people want to go home, so I was happy to accept a refund, but they said they couldn't do that - though could not explain why when asked. Trying to convince me that my receipt does not actually say the word "buritto" was a step too far.
Eventually we got him to agree to remake the buritto... and then he took everything back and had someone remake our entire order. At least we did eventually wind up walking away with what we paid for, but the overall experience to get to that point was bad enough that we will never...
Read more1 star..its ihop.. they had 2 tables taken in an empty ihop. We were shown our table and told waiter will be right with us. 15 mins later being told that waiter will be right with us again...another table of women sit down, Waiter goes right over and takes drink order... 30 mins later ...At this point im getting upset, my 4 year old is asking about the waiter.. another worker comes over and asks if we have been helped.. i said no. She replied they are really busy. (They had 4 tables & 2 sat 15 mins after us). Another 10 mins until we finaly got our 3 drinks.. after the 2 tables (that got there 15 mins after we sat) ordered, got the food and left.. Another waitress came over and told us that our waiter is very busy as he is serving food to the people that sat down 15 minutes after us. Our food slowly came out... one side at a time over 20 more mins.. my 4 year old son got his food last.
I cant explain how upset i was that they treated us like we didn't exist... my son was hungry and crying and i was out of polite excuses to tell him.
Dont try the fish and chips.. they are just bad.
Just a side note..they had a total of 4 tables and one waiter... but they had 4 other staff standing around..
