Read moreMy husband and I made a reservation for 5:30 and we arrived at 5:32 on a Monday night. We rushed because we thought we were going to be late for our reservation but in fact our reservation was late for us. After waiting some time for our seats they alerted us via text we were ready to be seated. As we walk in and notify them we were here, they ask us if we changed our minds on outside dining and being polite we both obliged to be seated inside. As we were shown to our seats we see that we are not sitting in the commons or by the bar, we are shown to a separate dining room with no other dining residents. Right away I see they either believe we are going to run out on the check or not dressed up to par (not the case as my husband wore a a pressed dress shirt and black slacks and I, a brown dress with black stockings). I also was weary that perhaps we were seated afar from other diners because my husband is of mixed race. Our server was beyond pleasant answering our questions and discussing the daily special, she served us perfectly. Another server delivered our bread after we requested more and he left the butter knife to clatter in the center of our table and the manner in which he placed down the plate and removed the other came across as rude perhaps because we requested fresher bread as the crust was completely inedible. Our server brought our appetizers and eventually the side dishes and entrees. I ordered the red dragon cocktail, a strawberry mojito and it was worth ordering twice. The lobster tacos were delicious and I highly recommend them. The lobster bisque was unique as they place the bowl in front of you with a singular chunk of lobster and biscuit and pour the bisque over. My husband ordered the horseradish crusted steak and it came with two jumbo shrimp. I ordered the salmon dish and it has was satisfactory. There was too much buzz in this room and workers with Walky talkies and even the manager walking through. Being seated next to the emergency exit in an empty room is always going to give the wrong impression. A separate server came by to take plates and she tipped my mojito over, it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience as I’m not a difficult person but I’d be more forgiving if it weren’t for other aspects effecting my experience.
