🔥The croissant "ham and cheeze" sandwich and the cinnamon roll were the best I've ever tried. It's so damn good that I can't stop thinking about it. Especially the croissant. It's so good that I had to get on here to write a review.
I'm almost upset at how good it is because I live 2 hours away and now know what I'll be missing but I'm glad this place exists! I hope yall stay in business forever and open up multiple locations.
My sister-in-law and wife's friend brought back the croissant and roll so I didn't actually get to go into the bakery. That's a good thing for me because I would've tried buying one of everything.
I live in Loma Linda which is the only "Blue zone" in the US so hopefully yall open up a spot down here! I believe a plantbased pastry shop would do well here! Anytime I come back to San Diego, I'm gonna plan to come back here! I'm so impressed with the croissant and cinnamon roll that I need to try everything else on the menu!
Please get a food truck and/or pop-up and come to Loma Linda and the vegan festivals out here! Can't wait to come back to San Diego for these croissants and...
Read moreI went there during the grand opening. It is a very small bakery making plant based pastries.
The pastries are excellent regardless of the vegan label. Everyone should stop in and try them because they are just that good.
I had croissant and caramel brownie. The brownie was very fudgey (you could basically call it fudge). The croissant isn't nearly as flakey as a normal one, but the taste and softness you expect are there.
The four stars is because of their coffee. The beans they use are from Steady State is Carlsbad. I had a latte with the cashew/almond milk blend. The only thing I could taste is a sort of burnt cashew taste. The taste of coffee didn't come through at all, and the milk was pretty flat. I know non dairy milks are harder to build up a foam, but this was really dissapointing. Maybe it's that cashew milk isn't good for this application or maybe it's because the house made blend doesn't include necessary ingredients for barista milks. I can only imagine that they'll improve this as they become more...
Read moreWas encouraged to try this plant based bakery. I am not a fan of non traditional baked goods but let me say this with a giant helping of humble pie. This place is incredible.
The croissant was crispy, flaky and buttery. While it wasn't my favorite ever, I think there is another place in town that edges this croissant, it was incredibly rich and delicious. Taking into account that it was a healthier baked good, it was incredible.
Of all the items we ordered, the cinnamon roll was far and away my favorite. This cinnamon is an experience and every bite was absolutely decadent. The PBJ pop tart was a knockout as well. Just south of University Avenue in a tiny space, the lack of size is more than made up with a ginormous treat to taste buds.
Staff is friendly. During Covid19 they only take advance orders for later fulfilment. Don't be discouraged, this place is absolutely...
