Nice play structure, but do not count on the nearby public bathrooms here. Most were out of order and the others were disgustingly dirty. The grassy area on the other side of the bathrooms from the playground appears to be a favorite hangout for some of San Diego's unhoused, but no one bothered us when we were there.

My daughters and I went here just for a quick play and they loved it specially that spinning bowl or whatever you may call it. I'm pretty surprised that the restrooms are clean but the cubicle doesn't have light inside. I have to use my phone light because my daughter doesn't wanna go inside.

Fun playground with large spaces and various play equipment. Swings, big toy, jungle gym, open spaces, large trees among others. Facilities were decent. Lots of local families frequented while we were here. Clean environment.

My boys are aged 10, 8 and 5 at the time we visited and this park satisfied all three boys. There are multiple playground areas to choose from with varying levels of difficulty depending on age. They made fast friends with people they didn't know and the park area is very beautiful with a lot of trees and shade and grass to sit in. They're also a lot benches to sit down if you're not into grass. Sitting. Bathrooms are within walking distance and we're decent enough for public park bathrooms. It's part of Balboa Park and you can almost never go wrong in Balboa Park. Definitely will be back with...

For the amount of money the city makes off of charging for parking downtown they really need to update this park! Considering balboa park is a main attraction for tourist we really need to do better “San Diego officials”!! My kids love it but the equipment has had hazard signs on it for months. My kids love to be daring and play on it but come on San Diego we need some leaders that can put the money to use to take care of our future leaders that play at the park!!! The other playground is even worse…let’s consider this...

This park sits between Balboa Park on one side and city streets on the other. Newer playground equipment which is nice for the kids, but the grass around them is suffering from the drought. Not the nicest park, but it is ok. I lowered my rating a few stars due to the vagabond yelling at passing cars near the playground and 2 other vagabonds sitting on the bathroom floor. There is a much nicer park on the other side of Balboa Park that is much better suited...
