PB PUB — Restaurant in San Diego

Now in these days where it is so cool to be or call yourself a dive bar the PB Pub does not bother. PB Pub is one of the last original dive bars in Pacific Beach. Where else can you get a bottle of beer for $2? And served to you by a bartender and in an establishment with a roof on top? This is been the case of the PB Pub for the last 20 years. It is a simple unassuming bar with two pool tables that even lets you bring your dog in in the daytime. There is no food served except for chips and peanuts behind the bar. They do have a full bar to make all cocktails and of course offer craft beer as well. In addition they offer the California Lottery Keno game called hotspot. Something to do while you're just hanging drinking cheap beer and or shooting pool with friends. In addition they have a jukebox that you can choose just about any song to download and play and a very unpretentious atmosphere. My buds and I tried to come to play darts and get some drinks tonight ( April 26th a few minutes before midnight ) but one of my friends was turned down by the bartender because he was claiming her ID was fake when it wasn't. It wasn't just the fact he turned her down but it was how disrespectful and rude he was about the situation. Not only was he making inappropriate comments towards us, he also threatened to call the police to " have them make sure it was real " then when we told him he could he said no and called us stuck up. I then said to him that we will take our money else where and he then tried to open the door for us to come in. Not sure if he was trying to mess with us but it went on for far too long. Our other friend was turning 22 at midnight and he truly ruined...

went into the pub around 9pm to play darts before my birthday started at midnight 4/27/25 but it was taken so we went somewhere else for a few hours. when we came back, a new bouncer was outside, and refused my cousin service who is the oldest out of all 3 of us. said her id was fake and threatened police, even though the ID was real. at the last second when we decided to leave he said called us stuck up and tried letting us in but we left instead because why would we give money to a business refusing service to us for 5 minutes, even after telling the bouncer my birthday was about to begin he said he didnt care and still refused to let us in before the last second when we were leaving. will never be...
