Poki One N Half — Restaurant in San Diego

I do not recommend this place with their staffs that had attitude..Came here a couple of days ago and being a La Jolla resident the staffs working here had an attitude and they don’t treat the customers right comparing to the other Poki One N Half that i had been too where the staffs are more friendlier. Well I say the staffs here had attitude and I almost ask to speak to their Supervisor:

1. I’d been to other branch and I ask for extra scoop and I know I had to pay extra and they said it wasn’t allow. Shockingly I told them in the other plane it’s allowed extra scoop with extra charges and I am fine with that.
2. I ask for extra sesame oil and staffs said oh there’s already sesame oil in the bowl and I said I want an extra sesame oil in the side and still they had to argue with me.

So I told them in the other place Poki Ine N Half I go they will give me sesame oil in the side and they will give me extra scoop for extra payment and if they don’t do that they will loose business. I mean don’t they want more money as I am paying extra for extra scoop and please STOP giving me attitude....Never I will come back here...This is my First and last visit...I much rather go to the other branch where the staffs are nicer and...

Five stars because Poki One N Half is AMAZING. This is by far the best poki bowl in San Diego. Not even close.

I go here at least once a week for lunch, but came in tonight for dinner and had a very poor experience. Jenny (employee) was chatting with another employee as I stood there and waited for her to help me. She finally turned around and did not look at me. She mumbled “what do you want?” and I said “Hi how are you?” to make sure she realized where she was at the moment. She didn’t respond and waited for my order. I said “good?” No response. She asked if the two bowls were the same. I told her no, but the ingredients in her station will be the same. I asked her to mark one of the bowls. She didn’t respond. At this point, she still won’t look at me. Weird. I ask her again to mark it and say “is that ok? With a marker in the drawer?” She finally looks at me with a frustrated look and says (verbatim) “what do you want me to write?” with a major attitude. She marked the bowl and completed my order. I said “thank you! Have a great evening.” and she turned and walked away. What the heck is wrong with this girl? She should not be in customer service, probably shouldn’t be employed anywhere with that kind...

My absolute favorite poké place! I've been a regular here for about two years now and they have consistently served exceptionally high-quality food. The fish is always fresh, not frozen, and I love the huge variety of toppings! I don't think there's a single poké place nearby that can compete on quality. Poki One N Half, please never lower the fish quality if you can help it; it's seriously the best.

Additionally, your online order system is great. It's efficient and my bowl is always ready when I arrive at the pick-up time. Thank you to all the workers at Poki One N Half, I really appreciate your hard work!

Also, for people trying to decide what to get, here's what I typically order: Regular bowl with white rice, 3 scoops of salmon, all add-ons (avocado, cucumber, white onion, imitation crab meat), mild poki sauce and ponzu sauce, masago, sesame oil, and green onion. It's a fresh, sort of umami flavor with smooth textures. I'm not a huge spice fan but I tried it with spicy mayo once and it was also great!

I think this may be one of the first reviews I've ever written on Google. I just feel so strongly about how good this place is. Thank you for the delicious poké bowls, Poki...
