Pizza and Indo-Chinese? Sign me up. I love both separately and together. However, this place seemed to fall a little short for me. I'd had Indian pizzas in the Bay Area before so there was already a bar to meet. I ordered the Chicken Tikka pizza and veggie momos to take home. The service wasn't too friendly so I would suggest knowing what the food you're ordering is ahead of time. I didn't have to wait too long considering I ordered inside and then carried out. Inside is pretty basic with some tables and chairs, not frou-frou but enough to get the job done of having seats for customers.
The pizza had all the elements of a chicken tikka pizza, but I'm not sure what fell flat for me. It might have been the dough was a little undercooked and sort of blended with the cheese topping. I usually prefer a thin crust to avoid this type of thing, otherwise the chicken and the spices were really good. The veg momos were okay, I had never had them before so I wasn't sure what to expect other than veggie dumplings. The chili sauce was delicious and very spicy though, so I have a star...
Read moreI take the time to google pizza place near me and read the reviews of so many places that it feels like a roll the dice to actually find a good place to eat. I walk into a small little shop where an elderly man and his wife are behind the counter the wife pleasantly takes my order and I sit as I watch the gentleman prepare my pizza pie. He prepares my dish as a piece of art adding just a touch here and a touch there not too much not too little finding the perfect balance, you could tell this is not the typical restaurant where someone barely old enough to drive throws together your dinner with a little concern of how it will be received. This gentleman is an artisan precision is taken in the craft of preparing your dinner as a piece of art you can tell that the gentleman puts a signature on every pizza pie he makes. I myself in no way A connoisseur of Italian cuisine but As a craftsman appreciate the skill and love of preparing an item you feel comfortable putting your name on. This is a dying practice how many have fallen to the assembly line food preparation...
Read moreThese are my favorite calzones I’ve ever had! The crust is a little different from a typical calzone… a bit softer and more bread like, and I love that! So far my favorite has been the Meat Lovers, but the Chicken Tikka and the Chettinadu Chicken are also delicious! The flavors are just so good. The pizza is really good too but I mostly order delivery and the calzone usually withstands the journey a little better.
The Chicken Puff is also delicious! It’s a very comforting type food, the pastry is so soft and the chicken has lots of flavor.
The Gobi Manchurian is amazing! It’s pretty different from other ones I’ve had and it’s one of my favorites! It has a lot of gravy which makes it a bit more stew like. And the flavor is hard to describe but has a slight more Chinese flavoring than Indian. I love it so much and I don’t usually tend to love a vegetarian dish like this, I really love meat :)a But I will be ordering this again for sure!
I’m so glad I found this place, it’s fulfilling my comfort food needs...
