Came here to avail a birthday coupon voucher. Got the Shrimp Tacos with the Cabbage and Avocado and the Mango Avocado Bowl with Blackened Mahi Mahi.
Shrimp tacos were really delicious. Good amount of shrimp and really soft tortillas as well. We asked for Refried Beans and Citrus Rice on the side instead of tortilla chips. That rice was absolutely beautiful! I could have had a whole bowl of that by itself, haha.
Got the Mango Avocado Bowl with Cauliflower Rice (instead of the quinoa) and Blackened Mahi Mahi. That mango salsa was lovely and there was a good amount of lettuce in the bowl as well. Read moreKind of a rip off. I paid $16 for a Salmon California Bowl, which most 80% white rice, covered with a little bit of sauce, tiny scoop of guac, black beans, the salmon is tiny, about half the size of my medium palm.......I've never paid so much for so little, I'm chucking most of the rice, it's just filler.
For this amount, I could have gone to fish grill and gotten a massive amount of grilled fish, vegetables and reasonable amount of rice.
I hadn't gone to Rubio's in a while, and I guess I'll continue to avoid this place....
