After 23 years of visiting Santana's I will not be anymore! It started with a very hard time ordering because neither of the 2 young girls spoke English well enough to take an order correctly. After a long order and finally getting it right, they forgot part of my order. When I called to ask them to prepare it so I could pick it up when I got there they again could not comprehend what I was asking. So I went back to the restaurant to get the rest of my order. When I went back in the girl that took my order is sitting in the restaurant eating my exact order!! Furthermore she was in no hurry to help me. When the next girl also could not help me because she didn't understand the cook came out to try and help. He kept asking if I need another order of enchiladas. I kept repeating to him that I never received the order placed and needed the original order. Finally the girl eating my order took a break from eating, went back into the kitchen, and opened someone else's order looking at it and then packed it and handed to the drive thru customer. Never did this girl wash her hands after eating and returning to the kitchen! She then proceeded to take my order from the cook and hand it to me. I stood there as I took it and waited for an apology of some sort but received nothing. I didn't even eat the food after what I witnessed. It's also worth noting while I was waiting 3 other people came in that had incomplete orders as well. I have attempted to contact the manager 3 times but the manager is never in apparently. I want to give the food five stars, but service 2!!! I come here very often, and the service is hit or miss.
The most recent annoyance was the other night, I️ have ordered my food at the box and was not given a total. When I got to the window she rudely told me my total and walked away before could hand her my change. When she came back, she asked me what my order was again. I️ had ordered a large coke and she gave me a medium. I️ had told her I️ said large and she insisted that was hat she gave me. (As I️ stated earlier I️ come here frequently so I️ know what the large looks like) I’ve also said “please” when i asked for sauce and “thank you” when receiving my food and she just shut the window, and walked away without saying anything. Great food & fast drive through service!
We have always enjoyed the food from the Santana Restaurants. This was no exception. Rolled tacos 🌮, Carne Asada Taquitos, and a Carne Asada California Burrito 🌯. All were muy sabroso!
The only downside to this visit was I didn't verify how much hot sauce I was given. I asked for "a lot" of hot sauce. I was given eight (8) hot sauces for three orders of Beef rolled tacos (that's 12 rolled tacos), one (1) order of Carne Asada Taquitos, and the Carne Asada California Burrito. Needless to say there wasn't enough hot sauce to please everyone. That is a shame because they have very good hot sauce (Verde & Rojo).
So, I recommend counting the hot sauce before you leave the drive up window, or the counter if you go inside.
