After eating here I don’t believe for a second this place was voted #1 restaurant in the country by yelp as they have boldly advertised on their restaurant wall. That’s totally bogus. Expect to pay alot for a basic dry shawarma sandwich and very bland yellow rice.. frozen fries straight from the freezer thrown into the air fryer and overly spiced.. and if you want any kind of condiment like ranch or any kind of white sauce.. it’s extra to the tune of 150-2.00 dollars.. who pays 2.00 for a little white sauce. And if that’s ridiculous, they charge you 3.50 for a regular 16 0z plastic bottle of coke… come here with your big gulp from the gas station as I saw many do…. The lady with the tattoos working the register has a bad attitude so know what you want prior to stepping up t the register. Basically save ur money and go to any mom and pop Arabic or Persian resturant or even the The kabab shop if ur in San Diego! Avoid this place!! I will never be back to over priced gimmick restaurant that may have or may not have been on diners drive in & dives.. was t that show cancelled a decade ago ?? Again, avoid this over priced...
Read moreThe Shawarma Guys is on a roll with this latest new location in Mira Mesa. I stopped in for lunch and had the small order of falafels and the small bowl of beef shawarma, which came with Angus beef, yellow rice, hummus, tabouli, and a side of warm sliced pita.
The falafels were delicious. The small order comes with a set of three. They are made fresh to order and never frozen. That freshness is key because it amounts to great flavors and texture. These were quite herbaceous and delicious. They also offered that superior crunch factor. They come garnished with a tasty garlic sauce. I do recommend.
The beef shawarma in the bowl was outstanding. It was nice and tender and very well seasoned with great flavors. The yellow rice was pleasant to eat, the hummus rich in flavor, and the tabouli quite zesty. This bowl is perfect for lunch.
The service was very friendly and upbeat. The employees at the counter know the menu well. The place is a fast and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Shawarma Guys, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! I ordered the chicken fattoush wrap, and it was simply fantastic. The chicken was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and the wrap was so generous that it could easily feed two people. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size!
Additionally, I tried the beef egg rolls, and they were a delightful treat. They had just the right amount of crispness, making each bite satisfying and delicious. The combination of flavors was spot on, and I found myself wishing I had ordered more!
The service at Shawarma Guys was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure my dining experience was top-notch.
Overall, I highly recommend Shawarma Guys for anyone looking for delicious food and great service. I can't wait to return and try more...
