taco bell on midway $1.58 to add tomato on two burritos? no.
Yesterday, I pulled up to the drive-thru at Taco Bell. I placed my usual order, 2 bean burritos, no red sauce, add green sauce, add tomato, and add extra onion. As it has been 3 months since my prior order, I anticipated a higher price for the burrito, but I was glad to see the price had not changed, it was still $2.19.
The order shows up on the screen, but next to the tomato, there is a charge of $1.58. I had never been charged to add tomato at this location, so my chin dropped. My next request, to take off the tomato from both burritos, was only half done. Still seeing 79 cents for tomato on the screen, I asked for removal, but "Yolanda" (more on that shortly) said "It is not on my screen." I asked for the cashier's name, and was told it could not be provided. I asked for the manager's name, and cashier said he was the manager, and could not give out his name.
Next, I asked for the order to be cancelled, so I could place it without the tomato concern, but "Yolanda" huffed in the microphone, and the remaining tomato charge was gone. I was then told to pull around, with no chance to request hit sauce. I got to the window to meet Yolanda, in all his male glory.
He opened the window, I handed over plastic and asked his name again. He again declined. I asked for the manager and he said he was the lead. On handing me my order, I looked for the receipt in or on the bag, but it was not there. In asking for it, I was directed to a wet receipt on the pavement beneath the window. I attempted to open the door to reach it, I could not.
I asked for a reprint. "Yolanda" had to call the manager, Jennifer, to get the reprint. When she handed me the receipt, I asked for the store phone number and her name. She wrote both down and handed it to me. Printed on the receipt was Cashier Yolanda.
I get it that the folks behind the counter do not set the prices. What I do not get is the negative vibe that seems to permeate this Taco Bell. Time to vote...
Read moreI love Taco Bell so it hurts me to have to leave this review. Please know this is not a reflection on Taco Bell as a whole but just this location specifically. I'm not sure if it's due to their staff or their poorly designed drive-through but this place always tends to have issues and the wait time is forever. I'd say they have a normal amount of drive-through traffic but you'd think otherwise when you have to wait over 20-25 minutes in the drive-through line and that's just to give them your order. What's worse is that once you're in line there is no getting out due to blockage by the curbs. There is also an Indian cuisine restaurant directly across from it, so those unfortunate customers tend to get pinned in and have to wait until the line dies down or someone lets them out. I also cannot tell you how many times they have either gotten my order wrong or barely put any meat or ingredients in the items that were ordered. And lastly, there has been about 4 different times I've went to order food and they told me they ran out of meat. Really?! I understand it happening maybe once in a Blue Moon but to have it happen that many times at 1 location is pretty disappointing. I don't think I've ever eaten at another Taco Bell and had them tell me they ran out of meat. That's just poor managing of inventory or the workers are lazy and don't want to work. Again, I love Taco Bell and I never really leave a bad review but I've just had too many issues at this location and needed to let the world know! Lol Lucky for them there are no other Taco Bells in the area, so I can't afford not to go back (I'm a fatty) but if Taco Bell sees this review, please build another one on Midway Drive or fix this location...
Read moreWe only live about 2 miles away from the store location and it took OVER AN HOUR to order, pay and leave. We were told that the frying machine was not working however we were able to order the nacho fries. My card was also charged twice for two different amounts and only received receipt for this order. Overheard the employee tell another customer that they couldn't cook potatoes either due to their frying machine not working yet again We were able to order nacho fries! These people not only lied to us but they have been lying to other customers probably because they are lazy and didn't want to deal with having to actually cook what they are getting paid to cook! I would know because I used to work at a taco bell and I know all of the excuses employees would use to get out of having to make certain things. I want my money back for both transactions. I've tried calling the store and all of my calls went unanswered. Next step is calling my bank to dispute charges and then I'm taking this to the Better Business Bureau. This particular store seems to constantly have issues and this was the last straw for me. Would give ZERO...
