Incredible service and food!
Indoor and outdoor seating, my dog was welcomed outside. The owner gave my family and I a complimentary bowl of miso soup because it was chilly outside. I noticed the owner being very thoughtful and helpful to the customers, including first responders and active military personnel who he gave a big welcome to and a nice discount!
I ordered the grilled chicken teriyaki bowl but instead of rice which it is traditionally served with, I had it prepared with salad instead.
This dish came with nori, garlic, crab, seaweed, edamame, spinach, and tender grilled chicken with extra sauce. It was savory, light, healthy, filling and delicious. Five stars.
My family members enjoyed the salmon poke bowl with premium add ons, the fish is very fresh. Five stars.
I paired my chicken teriyaki plate with freshly-cooked chicken gyoza dumplings, (five stars) and a Thai iced tea.
Free parking. Wheelchair friendly parking and seating. Military personnel and first responders are entitled to a discount here.
Pro tip. There's a nice view for those who chose to dine on the front patio. Ask for Wilson if you want some great recommendations!...
Read moreAwfully bad has gone downhill, If you get to see this review you're extremely lucky, I used to come here often and rave about this restaurant but it has gone downhill, really far downhill, I ordered the chicken teriyaki it was served rancid, The meat was a greenish gray color..... It takes a long time for chicken meat to turn that color So they had plenty of warning and or they just left the meat out and then the next day threw it in the refrigerator thinking it's okay to save it and serve it to customers that we would be too dumb to know that they were serving us rancid food, I've also read some of the other reviews of people being served old fish but also keep in mind that most people are too busy to come here and write a review so just know that there are many of us that are suffering but take the time to write these reviews about these awful restaurants not doing the right thing, I truly would have to say this is about the worst restaurant in ALL of Point Loma.... There's not enough time or room on this review for me to give you All of the details, but definitely...
Read moreMoved back to San Diego 3 months ago and used to other Poke spots in the OC. This place disappoints. First employee was rude, I admit my parents have never been to a poke place, but he didn’t explain how to order or offer recommendations. 2nd and 3rd employee (females) were much more friendly but still didn’t offer advice or considerations. I kept looking back to see if we were holding up business but no one else was in line. 2nd star for other employees. I have also had to use the restroom 5 times since getting home. The spicy tuna didn’t taste fresh and I think it’s what gave me diarrhea. price was satisfactory compared to North Shore Poke (my go to spot in OC). I will look for another poke spot to satisfy...
