The Alley Otay Mesa — Restaurant in San Diego

Familiar with this chain from Mira Mesa and recall it being pretty good. Our first experience at this location was great. Tasty drinks and good quality boba, but our second visit we were so disappointed with the texture of the boba. Very hard, so obviously old. Actually had to turn around to get the boba replaced. Staff seemed new and I described the issue and they gladly made me a new drink. I thought, great fantastic customer service. Problem is, they used the same batch of stale boba. Not going back. There are so many quality milk tea/boba places these days, and if you can’t even do the fundamentals, then why...

I've never been to The alley before but I think I just got a new favorite Boba place. I walked in and was immediately hit with the nice aesthetics and decor of the establishment. They have a really cool fake tree that has pink leaves which extends over the roof. The only problem with the decor is that said tree does cover the main menu screens, but they have printed out a menu at the counter for you to look at instead. The service was great and the employee was really kind and helpful with my order. Prices are good for how delicious the drink I got was. Definitely recommend anyone...

Boba is fresh and teas are yummy. It is the day after opening, but good vibes and nice smiles. Be warned: not all ingredients used to make the drink are listed on the drink descriptions.
