The Shop Cafe Barrio Logan — Restaurant in San Diego

This place was PACKED on the weekend. So I came Monday morning and was not disappointed! The Shop hosts space for events in Barrio Logan (e.g. La Vuelta) with a coffee shop area and another room with seating, art, music, and a bar (only open during weekends and events)

I ordered their Horchata Cafe de Olla and I can truly say this was a new favorite — Usually this drink comes super sweet at other places, but it was perfectly balanced here.

When visiting you’ll see a ton of art and merch representing Barrio Logan and the community. It seems a lot of people do come out here for menudo and drinks on Sunday mornings (caught on their IG posts) as well which is unique.

They do have a parking lot designated for the coffee shop as well as street parking.

My childhood neighborhood has truly been slept on with the Coffee Shops serving in the area! Why does noone talk about them enough? I am looking forward to coming back on a weekend to enjoy the vibes, music,...

This place creates so much noise for the people who actually live here. It has turned into a motorcycle club and the bikes set off car alarms constantly. November 2024: The vibe was perfect, representing the culture. Coffee of the day (snickerdoodle, chilled) was awesome and the service was great.
