Been coming to this Tommy's for decades, it's been my hangout since my high school days and 30 plus years later every time we come to visit that's the first & last place we eat every time we come to San Fernando. Their classic Chili Cheeseburgers are just one of those big, juicy, cheesy big messes that you get all over your hands where you don't bother with napkins cause your licking your fingers to the very end. There's several Tommy's throughout the Valley and each have their own little secret ingredient for their chili but all so far have been great, this one on Maclay in San Fernando is our favorite, (I also recommend the original Tommy's on Roscoe Blvd, Van Nuys right off of the 405 Freeway). As soon as you walk in you can virtually smell the pounds piling on, so if your looking for a small petite lunch don't come here, expect to roll out of there. Prices are average, 7-8 bucks for a combo meal and most of the time 3/4 into the meal your done, but it tastes sooooo good you can't stop eating. Thank you Tommy's for keeping this place open all of these years! If anybody has ever had a bad meal or service I would truly be shocked, 30 plus years and not once have I ever had bad food or service.

My wife got us lunch from here since she said she likes their chicken sandwich. Keep in mind that this place only takes cash so be aware now. I asked for a cheeseburger with no chilis, onion or pickle along with fries. It does take a while for the food to be made since they don't start making it until you put in your order. I thought my burger was just like the ones they give go you at a school cafeteria. The fries was just okay, so I would recommend adding some salt and pepper to give it more flavor. My wife liked her chicken sandwich and fries. If I had a choice between this place or another place, I would pick the other place all the time.

Update: service and food have gone down hill Good food, good prices. Chili cheese fries with the seasoning is 🔥, but needs more fries. Drive thru is super slow, and everything is cooked to order. Sometimes, it is easier to just go in and order. This is a cash only place, so be prepared. I'd go more often if I could, it a better option than McDonald's and different them most burgers, very tasty. Breakfast burritos are only served from 10am to 11am.
