A Buttercup Dessert House goes beyond your typical bakery fare. They have something for everyone, from towering parfaits and decadent milkshakes to unique shaved ice creations and trendy toasts.
We decided to try two of their shareable options - the Brown Butter Toast and the Thai Tea Shaved Ice. These portions were no joke! Each dish was easily large enough to satisfy a group of 3 to 4 people. The Brown Butter Toast was a delightful symphony of textures - crispy toast slices smothered in a rich, nutty brown butter sauce, topped with fresh fruit and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. It was decadent and perfect for sharing. It was definitely the star of the night.
The Thai Tea Shaved Ice was a refreshing surprise. The fluffy, snow-like shaved ice was infused with a fragrant Thai tea flavor that wasn't overly sweet. It came with a generous helping of toppings, including chewy tapioca pearls, condensed milk drizzle, and thai tea sauce. Each bite was a delightful explosion of textures and tastes. Compared to other dessert places, it may look more expensive but it all depends on what you get. Parfraits are for one person so they are on the expensive side. Other desserts are shareable so the prices are reasonable if you split it between 3 to 4 people.
Overall, A Buttercup Dessert House is a delightful place to indulge your sweet tooth. With its vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and diverse menu, it offers a unique dessert experience. Just be prepared to share (and maybe loosen your...

Mango shaved iced $15.99 I rate this a 6 out of 5 stars ⭐️ So delicious, the mangos are sweet and the they arrange the ice so well. It’s big, you get a lot of ice. What I like most about it is that there’s mangos on the bottom in the middle. So when you dig in, there’s more mangos! I ordered boba on the side (it originally does not come with boba). It has mango ice cream on top, I think it’s Mitchell’s mango ice cream?
Thai tea shaved ice $15.99 I rate this a 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️ As prior, this one was so good as well. You get toast in the middle. This one comes with boba. It’s topped off with whip cream and Thai tea sauce.
Milo malt iced drink $7.99 I rate this a 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️ Not much to say, except that it was delicious as well. Very creamy.
Thai tea (hot) $6.99 I rate this a 6 out of 5 stars ⭐️ My new favorite drink, I usually order iced drink so for me to say that a hot drink is as good says a lot. So flavorful, I love that it wasn’t extremely hot. It was hot enough to keep me warm, I was seated by the door and it was cold that night :). Love the latte art too!
Thai tea roti $18.99 I rate this a 4 out of 5 stars⭐️ The Thai tea ice cream was delicious (I think it’s Mitchell’s ice cream as well) the serve pours the Thai tea cream on top. It comes in a sizzling plate with hot roti.
Peach soda $8.50 I rate this a 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️ This reminds me of peach rings, it was so good. It’s carbonated soda with peach syrup and has peach slices. I like that it wasn’t...
Read moreCame here for one reason only and that’s the pandan toast. Pictures looked hella bomb and I knew I had to have it. Pandan is my fave dessert flavor because I grew up on it in Singapore and wish it were more accessible in the US. The biggest issue with pandan dessert is usually that it lacks flavor, or tastes artificial, because pandan is already mild and light to begin with. They deffo managed to capture the essence in the sauce, although I saw other reviewers comment that it’s not that sweet and I actually thought it was quite sweet - in the best way.
The ice cream wasn’t super memorable and I’m unsure if they even make it in house? My main problem with it was that it was already half melted when served on the warm toast. I don’t like to feel pressured to race against the clock in eating my dessert before it melts, I wanna take my time and savor it. The crust of the toast was also slightly overdone, on the dry side, but honestly there are so few places that get the pandan flavor right so I’ll give them a pass.
It’s certainly not cheap at ~$20 a dessert. It is shareable, and I split it among a group of 4, but I realized that the couple bites I had was $5? And I could’ve finished it on my own if I’m being real (and gluttonous). Food price inflation...
