I was on my way to the Zoo with Lafferty Wagontooth because he's Canadian, and has never seen African animals before...So here we go. Remembering just how horrible the food was at the Zoo prompted me to stop at Grubbin' for a couple of their Extremely Amazing Scrumpdiddlyumpous Sandwiches! And let me add just one more descriptor...Spectacularly Delicious! 5 stars all day long! ☆☆☆☆☆

Out of the few sandwich spots on Taraval, this is my favorite. Lou’s is a bit overrated to me. This spot is up the street and a little harder to find but it’s a hidden gem. The sandwich named after the shop is a gem, with sprouts balancing out a heavy dose of meat cheese and sauce. I think the flavors are spot on with savory as well as fresh with the veggies !

Cute little family restaurant serving up amazing sandwiches with fresh ingredients. I wasn't sure what to expect, but our food was incredible. My build your own sandwich was only $11 and the tater tots were super duper crispy and perfect too. Totally recommend!

The sandwiches are fantastic. I had the Grubbin' It on sourdough, and it was everything I could ask for in a sandwich--plenty of meat, nice tangy sauce, on a hearty sourdough roll.

The place itself, and the service, leave a bit to be desired. The woman taking my order was visibly filthy--OK, granted, she's not touching the food, but still she could have washed her hands. The kitchen area is crowded with boxes and debris. The bathroom, which you have to walk through the kitchen to reach, is also filled with boxes, many of which were themselves full of what appeared to be random garbage.

I still ate and enjoyed my sandwich, and I didn't get sick or anything like that. But I'm not sure I have enough confidence in the place to go back. There are lots of good sandwich places in...

Holy cow, move over Lou’s cause there’s some serious sandwich competition here. I wish I snagged a pic of this action packed sandwich (it was EPIC). Plus the people who run the joint are very kind and attentive. They forgot my order and noticed I had been waiting for a while, free chips n drink for that slip up.

Even with the mistake, this place knows how to make an epic and delicious sandwich. Don’t get me wrong Lou’s next door is good, but this place is so much better. My go to sandwich place...

Good neighborhood eats. Ordered the Droolin' and the Spicy Mayo Mouth Waterin' sandwiches. Great portion size and the bread has a beautifully light crunch. They offer pepperoncini, jalapenos and pickles at no additional cost. You have the option to build your own sandwich. Also ordered the garlic fries which were a bit soggy and the chicken wings.
