Hmmm yes this place is affordable, but it shows in the quality of the fish and the craft. Overall a pretty mediocre sushi place that’s not worth going out of your way to try.

We ordered a vegetable appetizer kale & mushroom, 4 nigiris (hamachi toro, blue fin toro, sake toro, and scallops), the Kale sake roll and the chronic roll. Everything was pretty average. The fish was fresh, yes, but also not that high quality. A lot of cuts of meat tasted pretty blind. The scallops would have been great but there was too much wasabi. The rolls were okay - they fell apart when I picked them up… I’ve had much better rolls at other places at similar price points.

Service was okay. We Waite for an hour for our rolls to come out - could have been a busy night for them. Won’t return for sure; there are way too many good sushi places in SF even at this...

My family I I got to visit this cute hidden spot today on our visit to Sf, and we loved it. It’s a small intimate setting with limited seating but we were able to come and grab a table upon arrival. The staff is so kind and delighted to serve their tasty food to the customers. The pricing was amazing as someone coming from Monterey where the lower price of sushi ranges from 11-15 for basic rolls. The specials were great and we got there just before they ended..which gave us a chance to try many more things at an extremely affordable rate. The flavors were amazing and a refreshing new take on rolls I have been keen on for sometime! I wish I could keep this place to myself but it just so good I want to give props to the business. This is a new staple for me and I can’t wait to...

I love this place and don't go as often as I should. It is far less pretentious than any of the other sushi places in this neighborhood. It's owned by a lovely couple that are very friendly, which gives off a very cozy atmosphere. One knock I have on the sushi is that the rolls can sometimes be a little loosely rolled, which can make them fall a part while trying to eat them. Barring that, the rolls themselves are very flavorful, as well as being pretty affordable. They have a good mixture of cheap sushi rolls as well as more pricey specialty rolls.

The dragon roll is one of my favorites and I get it pretty much every time I go in. Monkey roll is also another one I get frequently. I tend to prefer sushi over sashimi or nigiri, so I can't really comment on...

This is my cult favorite sushi spot in San Francisco. Do you want to support a small business? Feel like mom n pop restaurants are dead? COME TO HOT ZUSHI, it's cozy, and the green tea is perfection. Connie and her husband are a kind, efficient, duo that spin up fresh sushi every time. We come to Hot Zushi monthly, take our friends here, and visitors. If there is a wait, since there's only a dozen tables - promise it's worth waiting for, just grab a drink across the street at the Woods. We haven't tried anything that wasn't great but here are our favorites we rotate: - House salad is a MUST - Edamame - Miso - cucumber salad - wakame (seaweed) - Hamachi lime Jalapeno tuna - big team -Big poppa - chronic - smashing pumpkins - tiger - any sashima

Amazing people and consistently fresh and delicious! Many times, sake (salmon) can be chewy or restaurants don’t slice it well but at Hot Zushi the salmon melts in your mouth every time. They have just the right amount of rice and a hearty portion of fillings! The prices are on point for the quality and service. I miss being able to dine in but during COVID, the takeout experience has been just as top notch! They also have a great selection of vegetarian rolls and non-seafood appetizers and yum yums!
