I intend to "unbank" myself because SF Fire Credit Union cannot be trusted. SF Fire CU would NEVER allow me to charge $1,000 in 1 day without asking for permission first, but allows criminals to use my money without question.
SF Fire Credit Union declined my card routinely for 2 months, July and August 2020 blaming Visa. For example they wouldn't allow a routine monthly charge for Ring Doorbell, only $10 to post - despite having more than enough money in checking and savings. I had to call the bank and ask for permission to use my money. Or I had to call an automated number for Visa and never got through to a person. The Visa automated system could never identify me.
Instead on 9/12/20, SF Fire CU allowed fraudulent charges over $1,000 to post without question or verification - in states I do not reside with companies I do not use. I had to call SF Fire CU and tell them my account was being used fraudulently. Neither SF Fire CU nor Visa stopped over $1,000 worth of fraud. There's no way Visa or SF Fire CU would allow me to spend $1,000 of my own money, without asking for permission first. If I attempted to charge $1,000 in one day, it would have been flatly declined and earmarked as fraud. I would have to call an automated Visa system that would not recognize me.
Now SF Fire CU states, Turo, Inc who fraudulently posted in 1 day $880.45 didn't actually post that money. Turo, Inc only refunded me $301.42 immediately after I complained stating I have no Turo account with their company. SF Fire states I'm not owed the $579.43 and cannot explain what happened to the $579.43 charges, which are listed on the fraud affidavit I filed with SF Fire CU.
This is the worst bank since Wells Fargo opening up fake accounts. Don't use this bank if you're an average person. If you're a corporation like Turo, use it and take SF Fire CU's customer's money without...
Read moreAs I entered the bank, a young woman named Ariel greeted me with a beautiful smile.
I needed to make a deposit and get help with my Venmo account. The teller was unable to help me with my Venmo account and on my way out, I again was approached by Ariel, wishing me a great dayI asked her if she was familiar with Venmo and she said of course, how can I help you? Ariel spent 30 minutes helping me while still making sure that all other customers were welcomed as they entered the bank with her Beautiful Smile.
I can’t thank Ariel enough for guiding me through Venmo and giving me a clear understanding on how to set up another account to transfer money to another account.

The worst phone call experience I have ever had with my bank. It almost makes me sad that they feel it’s ok to treat people this way. All I wanted was some help and I was told I was going to be charged. I spent a whole hour with these people and when I asked how much my fee for requesting my own statement emailed to me. The lady over the phone wouldn’t even tell me. She kept me on the line for so long. Very obvious she didn’t want to help me. I waited for a good 20 min while she just kept saying “hold on” she first told me that another person would call me to help me with this and give me the fees. So I waited longer for her to just tell me that there was no fee for this. I asked why didn’t she tell me of this sooner. She then replied with “ I didn’t want to misinform you” so then she said she would send me my statement. It’s been 30min now since I got off the phone with her. And they are now closed and she never sent me my statement and to be honest I don’t think she is going to send me anything at all. I will have to go there in person tomorrow and ask her face to face. Unprofessional...
