Ventured here on a whim with some coworkers before a meet-up later with others. Wasn't disappointed but wasn't impressed. Happy hour meant sub $10 cocktails, so I opted for an old fashioned which was moderately strong. For dinner, I chose the J Burger, which apparently was tried by the great late Anthony Bourdain. I asked to sub the blue cheese for cheddar, which didn't happen. Burger came out medium rare as requested. The cook on the patty was juicy. The fries over salad side choice is the way to go. Think McDonald's fries without the greasiness. Vibe is an old timey tourist. We were a party of 4 who didn't really need much attention, but when it came to closing the bill, it took forever. We had napkins on the table even but golly it took a while for our server to remember. Nice for a rando choice, but not a regular stop or second try for me.

The menu and food here are high quality. Chef Raymond is wonderful. The ribs were falling off the bone. The salmon steak was perfectly seasoned, nice and meaty. The asparagus was perfectly blanched with a yummy butter coating. The candied pork belly was perfectly cooked with a tangy, lightly spiced glaze. I also had a very unique mashed avocado mezcal cocktale that went perfectly with everything, smokey, not too sweet. Topped it of with a perfectly crusted creme brulee. Top notch service from server Dinovo, despite staffing shortage. Both Dinovo and Chef Raymend doubled as bartender and still managed to provide great service and an excellent meal. Don't let the casual sports bar atmosphere fool you (the main dining room is closed due to covid). The food is worthy of a white table cloth establishment. I will definitly return.

Japsers serves really great food. I've loved everything I've tried on the menu and I'm sure I would have loved the item that they were no longer serving but was still listed on their menu. It's got a nice atmosphere and is not too far a walk from either of the shows we saw the couple of times I've been. Food aside, service was not great either time. To be fair, both times I've been were early enough that it wasn't crowded, but they had plenty of staff around, the service was just very slow. You'd think with fewer customers, they would be able to fix that. I will say that the food comes out right away, but flagging down someone to take our food order and then to bring us our check was difficult. Overall, a nice place with tasty offerings. Just expect to be there a while. We still made it to both of our shows on time though!

Absolutely terrible dining experience. Inexperienced clueless waiting staff. They're absolutely not prepared to deliver on their promise of advertising in San Francisco restaurant week. Will never go back here again. Do not recommend. Total waste of time and money for $50 per person special dinner menu.

I made online reservations through open table for a special prefix menu during San Francisco restaurant week. We arrived promptly at time because we were going to a show in the neighborhood in 2 hours. The staff was completely inexperienced and unfamiliar with the restaurant food, drinks and the software and processes. Our drought beer orders took about 30 minutes to arrive ( no joke) which literally is pouring the beer out of a tap in a glass. We were literally sitting in front of the bar, and I could have gone behind the bar, took a glass and poured the beer myself in about 2 minutes. On top of that they messed up the beer order about four times after which I gave up. The food took forever to arrive and I was really no system. There was a person supervising the waiting staff, but not sure what his job was because he was definitely not helping the overwhelmed and clueless waitresses. When the food arrived, it did taste awesome and that was literally the only reason that we decided to continue the absolutely frustrating experience. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the food we ate was actually delicious.

This terrible experience completely ruined our special night out, got us late for our show and out of the three course menu we did not even have a chance to get to dessert and barely ate our main course. It was a complete waste of time and money. We had to take the rest of our food to go because we ran out of time. And we ended up tossing it out because the theater would not allow us to take it inside. That was a complete waste of $100...

Now for starters I hope Im not crazy when I say this; with a name like Jaspers Corner Tap and Kitchen you would think they would have a totally different vibe than what you see inside! Very basic joint so i thought they would be my choice while staying in ole San Fransicko!

I was looking for breakfast Saturday after finishing some early morning tasks on my trip and I found Jaspers after a careful search ONLINE. Walking in the front door I was met with a cloud of flies that crawled everywhere! Getting inside it was very awkwardly quiet (not even a friendly hello?), no signs so we sat ourselves where my abilities would let me.

while being served i noticed my server seemed scared. Her boss (the shrill witch) was making her do strange tasks around the restaurant like stapling napkins to the walls and putting eggs in the cash register. While doing this the older shrill woman would rant to our server about how poorly the business is doing. Our server was scared and confused and just wanted to bring us warm Jaspers breakfast.

Finally she was allowed to resume her duties but alas it was too late, our food was cold and even had a few loose eggs in it as well. After paying our bill I attempted to take some medications (I was involved in a motorcycle crash 2 months ago) the shrill witch came across the room to scold me and say that this was against policies? We quickly shuffled out of there to safer pastures as she threatened to call the 5-0 for some reason.

Cyanara and happy...

Walked in a few days ago to have lunch with 2 friends enjoy the atmosphere and the soccer game playing.Place looked friendly.I am permanently disabled and I have a small dog as a service animal. The waiter walked up smiled and we sat by the tv near the door. After asking for water and 10 minutes of nothing.A small Asian lady with glasses came and said no dogs were allowed except service dogs.I said I’m disabled and showed her my permanently disfigured hand and said he helps me in the event I drop something,I also have a leg disability too.She proceeded to say I needed to show her my papers for the dog which is ILLEGAL TO DO.I explained to her that other than me saying he was service o didn’t have to go further, but still did by showing her my VISIBLE HANDICAP.I asked her if she knew what she was doing was illegal and she shook her head said yes and you have to go.I asked the waiter if he knew what she was doing was illegal and he said yes looking like he felt bad because he knew she was wrong.I then asked for a card and pulled out my phone to video her which I will be posting on Social Food review websites,YouTube etc. Little do these people know 😂my social media presence stretches very far,and my service dog ……a 16lb Boston terrier with a custom color is not only well behaved but worth more than she makes in 8 months ,is very well known and loved.Do not waste your time with stereo typical people and establishments that break the law and pick on the DISABLED.Aviod This Place...
