I've grown up in San Francisco, I know pretty much every place there is to get food here. I would have to say that this taqueria is the best in the city, best burrito, chicken or beef, and most likely everything else that I haven't tried before. This place has been around since 1985, they had several locations at one time but this is the last one now. I highly recommend the carne asada or the grilled chicken burrito. One thing to remember though, if you want really good chips then eat it in the restaurant, they will give you better chips, but if you take it to go they will give you bagged chips and they are nowhere near the quality. Just a heads up, I've been very loyal to them for many years, since high school in 1985. I've heard a lot of people rave about El farolito, but I can honestly tell you from experience that this place...
Read moreSome of the worst tacos I’ve had and at $4 each?! The meat was just ok, and the salsas were pretty bad- didnt taste fresh (from a can?). I haven’t had bad salsa verde so it was surprising. Chips weren’t good either and tasted store bought. Guac was also some of the worst guac I’ve ever had which I didn’t know was even possible. I wouldve much preferred just some avocado. It felt like water with old avocado essence with primarily raw onion and tomato chunks and was $4 to the trash 🥲

The second visit wasn't great. The older lady with glasses who took my order was pretty rude & unfriendly. The first time I got the regular burrito, it came with tortilla chips, but this time they wouldn't give me chips and said it was an extra dollar. Which is fine, but I don't think that was the case because I didn't see any sign saying chips cost money. So I really felt like that lady was just being rude to me. The burrito also wasn't as good as the first time, so the food seems inconsistent. I think the cheese tasted weird. Anyway, I'm...
