Why anyone would spend this amount of time to prepare icecream is beyond me. I will say that even though there's a long wait, at least its entertaining. ( my guess is that these guys would kill at the wack a mole game, just saying) The finished product is fun to watch being made and tastes great, did I mention the unlimited amazing list of toppings, ooohhh yeah! Ok the skinny is this, 3 base icecreams, almost a dozen prefabulous flavor combos and all the tasty topping you can imagine. Ok not all I can imagine but definetly more than you can actually fit on top. I have to go back and try more of this, you will too im guessing. So why not roll down there and check it out, I been ti a lot of icecream joints in my days and this one sets its self apart.
A suggestion to the owners, please expand your visual marketing to inside your shop, include the visuals of making the product to the oustside so walkers by are drawn in and when the line gets longer than your inside space allows one has something to do besides wait, The interior of this place has the appeal of an actual cattle dairy as it is currently. Please hire a few more "rollers" to help reduce the long wait time and at the very least have a self evident menu thats easier to figure out without having to ask how and what to order which also would reduce the time one has to wait. Good luck and thrive, because I want...
Read moreAn ice cream sundae with a Twist. You get a selection of approximately 12 ice cream flavors to choose from and about two dozen different toppings. The fun part of this ice cream shop is that you get to watch them build your dessert from the base level up. They have four chill plates operating when the shop is completely staffed.
Let's build your sundae. The technician starts with a liquid vanilla-flavored cream that he or she pours on to the chill plate. While the cream is chilling and starting to harden, the technician will work the cream and in the flavorings you ordered when you first walked into the shop. As the cream solidifies, it's spread across a thin layer over the chill plate. Using what looks like a metal spatula, the technician starts on one end of the plate and scrapes up the now hardened ice cream into a roll or tube of ice cream. He or she then takes these Rolls of ice cream and places them into an ice cream cup with the open end the role facing up. Then the cup is handed over to the order-taker / cashier to add in any additional toppings you may want to complete the finishing touch to your tasty masterpiece..
You have to try this at least once to experience the fun and novelty of having your ice cream served up to you in such a...
Read moreIn a world where artisan ice cream shops are locked in an escalating battle for the most gimmicky flavor (nacho ice cream is a thing, I assure you), one shop has turned their back on the flavor bloodbath (literally, in the case of bone marrow and dried cherry) and focused their energies on technique to bring in customers. Yes, they have the requisite odd ingredient (purple yam, anyone?), but what really makes everyone press their face against the glass at Let's Roll Ice Cream is how they make the ice cream. Watch as the wizard employees throw a splash of cream and a couple of ingredients on a super cooled surface, mash it together, spread the concoction out flat, and then turn it into a series of nifty rolls with deft strokes of metal spatulas. It's mesmerizing. It's magical. And, frankly, really fun to eat. This is a great place to bring kids of all ages, though be prepared to wait if there's more than a handful...
