I put 4 starts Coz sandwiches here is very tasty, soft full of yummy ingredients and flavor. 1 star I take off for Customer service. Specifically Asian looking Lady cashier with brunette hair skinny one. Very disappointing her service. Me and my bf was driving 15 min to the Louse from my work. I know it's lunch time and probably busy so I said let's call them order over the phone instead of waiting on cold weather outcide. My BF called the place and this lady pick up the phone and no talk, I can hear from far voice she is talking to clients or maybe colleagues but not to us. My BF keep saying Hello, hello, are u here. No answer. We waited 1 min and I said recall maybe she forgot she pick up the phone coz it's busy there. So we call again, and guess what same thing, she pick up and put phone somewhere maybe and u can hear all what's going on in a place but she not responding. So we talk again Hello, Hello, my BF speak in Spanish to her I say in Russian. No respond. My bf say to me WTH if she so busy why pick up phone and at least say " pls wait or hello or something" lol. So he hangup and I call again. From my phone. And same story she pick up and no words on phone. Just can hear noise from the place. By that time we already was near the place and I call again while walking in to the store to see who is it who picking up phone and no answer. And this Cashier pick up the phone and probably hearing me that I walked in and in same time say Hello Hello in phoone to her finally answer. She look at me and I ask her. Why u pick up the phone and no talking I called like 4 times. She say to me it's You who not talking LOL. I was very unhappy at that moment to hear such a lie. Then she complain something in her language to colleges and place order from me in person. But it's not all. While I was waiting 15 min or more for my order incide. I was observing her interaction with clients. And OMG this lady just turning off people one by one. Someone come to her to ask if order ready she aggressively and annoyed yelling to her Not ready and showing by hands to client to walk aside. Poor girl was so freak out from such a respond. Other client was with disabled leg, she ignored him all the time till he finally reach out to the another employee and picked up his order. I understand what means busy I work in customer service too but common if u don't want work or upset or something don't ruin someone business by your attitude. I would give 0 to her service and 5 star to the...

I have been going here whenever I am in the city quite religiously for the last four+ years. It has consistently offered some of the best sandwiches I've had the pleasure of enjoying. I consider myself a fairly decent sandwich maker and so I get pretty critical of what makes something special. Although I have tried others, I am biased toward the roast beef options. The dutch crunch bread is always excellent, slighty toasted and a reasonable size. Many of the options come with jalapeno spread, Lou's special sauce, or both! Red onions are always a must for me but you can customize the sandwiches almost anyway you want. Pickles come standard for those that love their dill herb, but definitely a "no thanks" for me.

There is often a small wait because it is so popular but you can order ahead (I believe both over the phone and through an app). Enough seating around if you don't mind hovering for a bit. Excellent coffee, and breakfast options which I havent yet explored. Although parking in the area can be tricky, I always seem to get lucky and park right out front in the metered parking. Wifi available and usually works well.

It really should have five stars but a recent visit pushed the limits of how much spicy horseradish I can handle... and typically I never find restaurants' horseradish hot enough! It seriously gave me a headache it was so strong and clumped up. If it had been spread around more then it would not have been as bad (maybe perfect actually) but in this case I was getting literal fat man bombs of horseradish. However, I added the horseradish to the roast beef, bacon and mushroom sandwich which does not typically have it included! Therefore, maybe it was my own fault for modifying an already excellent sandwich, I also chose not to add the crisp and balancing effect of cucumbers. Whoopsie.

I will undoubtedly return again, with an equally appreciative sandwich lover to see if Lou's can earn its rightful...

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Sometimes a place treats you as a customer in such an insulting way that you feel absolutely compelled to write a review about it. I just had one of those at Lou's.

I just had the single worst sandwich experience of my life. The service I received picking up my order was atrocious, and to be honest, insulting. I called in an order a 2:20pm today and was told 20 minutes. I arrived just around 2:40 and was now told 10 more minutes. Alright, fine. Not ideal, but I get: the place was busy. However, the wait lasted longer than 10 more minutes. At around 3:05pm, my order was finally called. But that's not even the worst part. My sandwich had actually been ready and sitting there on the counter for about about 15 minutes...just, nobody ever called the order out. So, I had been essentially staring at my sandwich for 15 minutes, before being told it was mine. Did I get any explanation as to what happened? No. Did I get any apology? No. I was basically told "oh, your sandwich is right here actually". I'm sorry, but that is inexcusably awful customer service. Inexcusably awful. I have been regularly coming to Lou's for some time now, but as of now I have zero plans to ever return. I kind of doubt anyone there even cares about this type of complaint, as clearly customer service is not a high priority at Lou's.

I was told 20 minutes. I received my order 45 minutes later, and was handed a cold, unappetizing sandwich. I honestly considered not even taking it, but I was in a hurry and needed something, even if again, I was being handed a cold and unappetizing sandwich. So, thank you Lou's, thank you for ruining my Saturday, making me late, and charging me about 10 bucks for the...

Follow me here. I sang “I’m Every Woman” while eating my sandwich. I am not a sandwich person. I never have been. But convert me now please and thank you. I had the Ultimate Club sandwich. Added cucumbers, sprouts and pepperoncini’s. The bread was so soft. I would buy the bread just to eat itself. First time. And I’ll be back. I’m a happy happy woman. I just can’t. How can a sandwich be so good? The bread is LITERALLY PERFECT. The texture. Ugh! Do they have stickers? I need one. Please go get a sandwich here if you can. As a new comer to the neighborhood, I’ve found my first sandwich shop I’ve ever had. Wow! Oh, and they’re super nice!🥰🥰🥰

Stumbled upon this place right before exploring Golden Gate Park. So happy we did. Seriously the best sandwich of my life. Small establishment with amazing efficiency. Workers were getting killed but they kept smiling and making delicious sandwiches. We all got different sandwiches. Pesto chicken was amazing. My son devoured the buffalo chicken. I got a cranberry turkey that was mind blowing. It made the rose garden an even more special experience. SUPER affordable for the product received. Only regret is I don’t know when I’ll have this again. Colorado loves great sandwiches ;) Definitely recommend!!!

If your vegetarian DONT ever eat here! My fiancé received her sandwich covered in a sauce she asked not to put on there and after removing the sauce, she bit in only to find Multiple Pieces of Meat were laid in there as well. Horrible customer service as we called to ask what happened they blamed the delivery driver! The sandwiches were labeled correctly when we got them. Lous messed up and wouldn’t apologize. Don’t eat here. Ever.
