McDonald's — Restaurant in San Francisco

After finishing work I wanted a Oreo pie. Little did I know that would cause me literal hell. That entire staff who interacts with customers anre actually god awful. If you want to fight a complete stranger come to this location. People are insane here. Horrible atmosphere, horrible service, and horrible staff. A triple combo.

The woman working the window today August 8th .2023 at the pick up at 7 pm is terrible and an instigator. She told me my food wasn’t ready. Told me to pull over to the right side I’ve been putting it up to her ma’am don’t you see that people are double parked. This parking lot is extremely small mind you. Insanity I wrote a complaint as this was putting my safety at risk I don’t expect them to be security but I expect the people to be told they can’t park like that OR explain to the insane woman that it’s not my fault!

“ Hello, I just came home from the worst McDonalds experience I have ever had. I did not thing to nobody and I am an extremely nice customer. This situation is unacceptable. I placed the order prior to arriving. Once I arrived there was a group of men and a woman and multiple pit ills in the parking lot. Thats not the issue. It’s that they double parked. So there was cars parked and then they parked their cars behind those ones. Pushing into the drive thru.

The woman at the window then said to me can you please pull over and wait 12 minutes? As they McCafe Oreo pies werent ready yet. I said yes but then I said her can you please look to the right I cant pull over anywhere where do you want me to pull over? I couldn't pull over because they were double parked. I took photos as well. She then ask me to drive to the front of the drive-thru and park at the certain part only giving around 1 cars length between me and the drive-through pick up window. Its a very small parking lot. My biggest fear was having a confrontation with someone and thats exactly what happened. Multiple people picked up their order fine but this one woman who was extremely difficult and rude decided to come up to my window and asked me to leave! I said her maam I am picking up an order I cant pull over anywhere . I cant go anywhere and theres people blocking me on the right side and she continues to call me names and all this stuff. Saying im a demon and I am crazy. I dont appreciate that. The people at the window didnt explain to her that not only did they ask me to pull up to the front there was people double parked to our right! But of course its my fault though. she continues talking bad about me to McDonalds employees and the woman is telling her what my order was! Why would an employee do that? and the woman than starts to make fun of me. Laughing. She was able to exit fine she drove past both mine and the double parked car. There I was no need for the confrontation. The employees didnt stand up for me at all or properly explain that they people were illegally parked. I want you to know the atmosphere and Service was so bad this location I will never go to that place again. Its actually terrifying location and they were allowing these people to park badly like that. They literally didnt care! They just said yeah yeah yeah to me. I hate this place and wish I never orders. I was made fun of for 5-10 minutes and they did nothing to explain I was not in the wrong. I hate this location I hope it shuts down. ”

Three noteworthy comments about this location:

1. SF McDonalds are exceedingly pricey. USE A DEAL ON THE APP. Unless money is of no concern to you.
2. It’s gets prohibitively busy at times that you’d expect it to. Go at unusual times. a) There are also loads of pick-up delivery people in addition to regular customers which only exacerbates the rush nastiness, and then THE most irritating point of all…
3. the narrow 8-space parking lot/drive-thru passageway is apparently THE MOST AWESOME HANGOUT SPOT for certain awesome crowds. Traversing the L-shaped drive-thru (undoubtedly during “fun hangout times” like Thurs, Fri, & Sat nights) means that you will have to cautiously navigate past the cars of people who are just hanging out next to them, and who have graciously left 2 inches of clearance space between their sharply-guarded vehicles and the busy drive thru lane. The 45° turn, where the lay window located, is especially thrill-inducing.

If it’s Tuesday at 2:45pm and you feel like using an app discount code, go for it. If it’s Friday at 11pm and you’re ordering for the whole family, who have decided to come along in your extra large, extra wide vehicle - perhaps think again. A Big Mac meal costs over $13 anyway, so go get Thai food or something better...

The only reason I ever eat McDonalds is because I’m temporarily in a nursing home with good unfit for human consumption.

McDonald’s has no nutritional value as we all know. If you are able to go directly there to order, I’m assuming your food will at least be hot. But, since I have to use Uber Eats or DoorDash, the food inevitably arrives lukewarm or cold and I’ve lost track of the number of times they’ve included items I’m severely allergic to on my burger. It’s impossible to call & speak with a person about your order and they rarely read the items you mark to leave off your burger. They can’t refund your order or replace it so good luck getting help fro the delivery apps who very often refuse to give a refund for food that I can’t eat. That’s on the delivery app but McDonald’s chooses NOT to leave an area where you can post allergies. The burgers are sloppily put together with no effort.

McDonald’s used to have good fries but they’re now always cold and soggy. I’d recommend using a privately owned business when ordering through an app.
