I’ve gone in person once and ordered it three times. I don’t remember having any complaints regarding the food when I dined in. The first time I ordered Bun Dau Hu Rau Cai for delivery, the broth was great—the perfect amount of spicy and flavorful, but still clean. I noticed, however, that the vegetables tasted soapy—mainly the broccoli and cauliflower. I ordered again two days later because, despite that soapy taste, the broth brought me back. The second time, the broth was completely different. It still tasted clean, but it was clear the only spicy element came from the jalapeños, and it lacked flavor—and again, the vegetables tasted soapy. About five days later (9/6/2025), I ordered it again at the same time of day as the first order—hoping the last experience was a fluke—and once again, the broth was different. This time the broth was more flavorful than the second, but it was a little fishy and just not good. And again, the vegetables tasted soapy. This time, there were sliced, yellow peppers that hadn’t been included in the prior two orders, and those did not taste soapy, but the broccoli, carrots, and I believe the bok choy did. Unfortunately, because the broth is inconsistent but the soapy taste is consistent, I’m not going to keep risking it until something changes. I’m all for washing vegetables, but please use a proper soap made for cleaning produce and rinse the vegetables...

I can't even lie when it comes down to how good the food was to me..However I live down the street from Miss Saigon and decided to order some food. As I waited to order the older man kept addressing people behind me taking their orders first. Then when I received my order which was pork fried rice and shrimp and crab imperial rolls which I didn't see till I got back home. The container had a small portion of rice with pork in it.. it did not cover the bottom of the container nor touch the top of container when closed. The imperial rolls were under a jungle of greens... I thought it was a salad. The next day I ordered my food on the phone and came and picked it up. The rice was not scarce... I mean it was so much like it should of being considering the price. It had egg.. cucumbers.. carrots and broccoli in it. The imperial rolls were nicely sectioned off from the greens with cucumbers nicely arrayed. I felt hurt cause I'm like is it because I was black that yal served me like that yesterday and made me wait so long to be addressed. I feel it was cause when I came to pick up from ordering over the phone I was served with better quantity and quality. I liked the food but will not eat at this location nor support it again cause it just wasent right what they...

I walked in on a Saturday night at 8:20 to order. I smiled when I walked in and sat down and began to look at the menu. There was a a table of women at a table close to the kitchen. Behind them was two men one was eating, the other man was at the register when I walked in. We nodded to each other while he was behind the register. I looked at then menu but I knew what I want so I put the menu down and waited. I watch get a bowl and I thought he was getting me prepared to take my order… he went to sit down with the other guy. I sat there another few mins and realized he wasn’t paying me any mind. I got up and started to walk to the door and he turned around and just watched me walk out. He didn’t say, “excuse me can I take your order”. He didnt seem to care to serve me. I’m a black woman and it just felt kind of prejudice. I’ve been here when my Vietnamese friends are there and that day was totally different vibes and service. It’s disheartening because I actually was excited to review them because I’ve been here before. All this could have been remedied if they would have just acknowledged that I’m there to place an order. I respect a lunch break but u don’t respect not being of service in anyway when I walk into...

San Francisco Food Guide: A Review of 30 Must-Try Restaurants 🔥

We ordered 2 types of spring rolls: pork and shrimp. The wrap on the pork rolls was thicker than expected and the filling mixture didn't have the right meat-to-vegetable ratio. The shrimp rolls were a bit soggy. Vermicelli noodle dish with pork: noodles were the right consistency, but the meat was rubbery. Rice noodle soup: the broth was pretty good and the vegetable/herb sides were very fresh. The bean spouts had a good crunch and the basil and mint leaves were flavorful and washed well. The meatballs were fine, but the pork shreds were again too rubbery. Green papaya salad: The dish was ok. The papaya felt drowned out by the fish sauce that was a bit too sweetened for my taste. Vietnamese coffee: Too bitter despite 25% of the drink being condensed milk.

Came here on a Saturday night with no wait! It was a bit hard for me to find the entrance at first but it’s at the intersection of mission and 5th and not the side door on mission. Food: I got the 31 vermicelli and while it tasted good, it was quite bland and I found myself still very hungry after eating it. There was a good amount of pork but probably too many rice noodles in proportion. The summer rolls were nice but small in quantity. Service: Food came out pretty slowly and probably took 20 to all arrive. The waiters don’t check up too often on you. Ambiance: Super casual, a bit dirty, but easy and cheaper Vietnamese option. Overall, next time would try the number 42 garlic noodles but wouldn’t get vermicelli.
