Let me start by saying any stars I didn't give I really took into consideration. It's a clean place, the food is authentic and full of flavor. The service was slow. I was around the corner so I ordered takeout. It said it would take 25 minutes. That's kinda long for takeout in that area but I had been planning on eating there so I didn't mind. I got there right on time and they hadn't even started on my food. I waited another 20+ minutes for a quick wrap. That's a crazy wait for shawarma so I expected it to live up to the high ratings it has. It wasn't phenomenal but I did like it. The toum sauce was a bit much. By a bit I mean my spouse was sick for 48 hours straight and I only survived because of my cast iron stomach. Before you dip in look up what the sauce is. I've never felt like I was literally made of garlic before, it was a bit much. All good things in moderation. We also had the lamb instead of the chicken and, looking back at other reviews, I think that tends to be rough on some people who aren't used to the amount...

Easily one of the best shawarma place I’ve been to in SF! The food was prepared fresh and with a lot of care. I can tell the owner is very passionate, careful, and clean. He asked everyone how they liked the food and seemed to genuinely care about each persons experience.

I got the chicken Sarookh wrap and the chicken was excellent quality. The hot sauce and garlic sauce that comes with it adds another layer of flavor. Really Can’t say enough good things about this spot, the quality is great, prices are fair, portion size is big, and It’s all led by a caring owner. Definitely recommend you come and support him, and enjoy his food, you won’t regret it! I’m already planning what I’ll order next time, thank you...

Absolute must try - so happy I did! Do not be deterred from the location! This shawarma restaurant is impeccably clean, the food was made fresh, and the owner is wonderful. I had wanted to try Popstar for a while, but the parking/street made me hesitate....however, it's totally worth it as soon as you walk in. Initially I was totally blown away with how sparkly clean this place is. No trash, random food on the countertops, and everything organized and I'm place.
